New Feature: Proverbs Explorer, vol. 2 (Interactive; Dataset)
What is it?
Volume 2 of this popular interactive and dataset expands the scope of the Proverbs Explorer to proverbs throughout the Old and New Testaments—not just the book of Proverbs. It even covers proverbial statements from Deuterocanonical literature.
How does it work?
Open the tools menu and click to open all interactives to the right of the menu. From the list of interactives, choose the Proverbs Explorer. Begin filtering the proverbs according to the criteria you want to know more about.
You can also search the proverbs with the accompanying dataset. To learn more about the possible searches, go here: https://community.logos.com/forums/p/118376/776920.aspx#776920

In your example mine goes blank a little later, at Je 17:9.

I'm running Windows 8.1 and the verses render all the way to the end.
Really would like to see a filter by book of the Bible.
Thanks,
Peter

not occuring for me in Win 10 but it looks to me like scrolling faster than your computer can repaint the screen ... how long have you waited to see if the text eventually appears?

I cannot find this dataset in my interactive tools. I am a Logos Now subscriber. Any reason why this wouldn't show up?

It's part of the same interactive. It just adds in additional data.

Do you have the tool called "Proverbs Explorer"? If yes, what is the number listed beside all? See Jacob's original screenshot that shows 969. I believe that if you see this you have the latest dataset. Volume 2 just expands the scope through the rest of Scripture.

I do not have Proverbs Explorer at all as a tool. Searching for it and looking for it in my tools menu has turned up empty

I would think that you should have received it by now. I'm guessing that you probably have already done this but just to be sure, have you chosen to "update resources" recently?

Do I need to have a certain level of base package to access it? Even if I have a Logos Now subscription?

I have updated my resources multiple times...

To have access to the Proverbs Explorer, you need to have Logos Gold.

Does this apply to all the new features in Logos Now?

I tried to find out where this is documented. Is there a list of what base packages are needed for different Interactives?

Seems a little disingenuous to email Logos Now subscribers of new features if you cannot access them.

You should have access ... it appears to be a Mac problem. Unfortunately the office is closed at the moment, but if one person affected calls first thing in the morning and reports back, everyone should be fixed quickly.

If I scroll down far enough down in any list in the right panel, the verses stop being rendered and I just get the reference. Bug? Running OS 10.11.3 and Logos 6.9.0.0029. Screenshot below:
I am not able to reproduce this on Mac in 6.9 [:(] What is the resource version of the Proverbs Explorer? (You can check this in the resource information panel)

JH, that's the same version we are testing on. We are unable to reproduce this internally. What Bible is selected, and what version of OS X are you running? Just trying to find what we are doing differently.

Should he? It would not be specifically Mac if it was a licence problem. Faithlife should be careful in publicising Now features if they depend on a base package/crossgrade feature.

Feedback:
1) I really like the idea of expanding to the whole biblical corpus. Great idea, should be useful.
2) The description in the info panel needs to be updated as it still says it pertains to the book of Proverbs.
3) I am surprised and ambivalent about what might have been the inclusion criteria, realizing of course that this is a first shot that may be improved over time. I find that some of the references, for instance in Job, are poetry yes, but proverbs, perhaps not. So, it is a bit of a downer to find a number of passages that are not really proverbs. Or perhaps this is based on a different definition of a proverb, in which case, it would be good to provide that description in the info panel and the help file.
Overall, a good idea that can be very useful for some types of studies, with perhaps some ironing out needed.

Can you provide some examples that you believe are mis-classified as proverbs .. and suggest what you believe their classification to be?

Job 12:14; 22:2. There are other examples but I don't have time right now to go through the whole list. Right toward the beginning there is Dt 9:2.

The extra data in Volume 2 is good to have but there needs to be a new filter panel option, book of the bible. I can see where someone might be preparing a study, preaching through a book or just doing there own personal study and they are only interested in looking at the book of Proverbs - with all this new data it is now not possible to do so. An export to passage list would also be a useful addition.
