Passage List duplicates deliberately and editing passage referneces

I hunted for answers only briefly due to time constraints and didn't find solutions. Apologies in advance if the answer is obvious.

1) I like to display bilingual passage lists when teaching. Sometimes I want duplicates in the passage list to go along with material being taught. Apparently there are limitations on entering duplicate passages--or can I do so? I can always export to Word, but that is more stuff to do.

2) Is there a way to edit the reference in a passage list? Right now, I simply recreate the reference at the bottom of the list (sometimes I have close to a hundred) and then in Compact View drag it into place. I am hoping for a better method.

This is the closest I can come - the references appear to be determined by the UI language as they remain the same even if the Spanish Bible is the highest priority when the Passage List is made - and the original in the clipboard is Spanish. Not how I would like it to function ...

After a bit more fiddling I found this which might be clearer:

I make my passage lists for projected display by using the Power Lookup to garner up references from my notes, copy them, and then adding them to a Passage List.

1. If my notes say Jn 4, then the passage list properly gives me the whole chapter. But maybe all I really want was Jn 4:24. Apparently we cannot edit the passage range within the Passage List. That is a stumbling stone I run into too often.

Am I missing a way to change the passage range? Or should that be a suggestion for the future?

2. If I Enter John 4:21-24, I can add Jn 4:21-22 or Jn 4:21. But cannot re-enter Jn 4:21-24. Yet I can enter Jn 4:21-22 or Jn 22-25, etc.

If I enter Jn 4:24, I cannot re-enter Jn 4:24. Similar curiosities seem to occur as well, but I haven't tested them enough to present.

I sort of understand the reasoning for this behavior, since this is a passage list, yet the behavior seems odd and a bit unpredictable. I really wish I could enter anything I wanted to, and then let the software delete repetitions only when I ask it to.

Or am I missing something obvious...is there a way to force duplicates such as "union" mode.

Why do I need duplicates?

Because I am presenting/projecting bilingual passages lists from teaching / sermons and sometimes passage repeats are necessary.

When it was in beta there was a great deal of discussion over how it should work trying to keep broad general references from deleting very specific verses. I doubt that anyone was totally happy with the results but most everyone was satisfied with the compromise.

What I think would serve as a workable compromise:

When more than one translation is selected
if the references differ either by language/script or
if the references differ by verse map (chapter/verse)
then multiple references are retained even though they point to the same text.

That would ensure that when multiple Bibles are used, the class participant doesn't have to make a conversion to find the requested passage.

Excellent. That would work.

For what it is worth to others, there is an awkward, limited work-around:

Create a Heading in the passage list and manually duplicate the passage there. The words show up where you want them!
