License issue

I was reading through the Mentor Comm. on Matthew, and on page 473, footnote 19 it mentions Stott's volume onthe Sermon on the Mount- I clicked the page reference it says I do not own this resource.
So searched my library and behold its there- but upon further research found the resource id's are different- I own: LLS:BSTUSSRMNMT (BST series), I do not: LLS:BSTSRMNMT.
The confusion lies in the fact the are both BST volumes, and upon finding them on Logos, they have different book covers- when I look at the latter volume it shows me the one I own.
So whuts up wut that!

That's correct. It's frustrating because you need to own both versions if you want all the links in your library to work.
Faithlife should 'translate' the links from one to another if you only own one set — just as they should with the Tyndale Commentaries and protestant and Catholic editions of the church Fathers.

Thanks both.

They could solve this very quickly and without really giving anything away if they just tied the licences together and made it so owning one gives you licences to both. The present situation is deeply unsatisfactory because I have paid for the same content twice!

Interesting thought... I wonder if that would work re: licensing. Ideally, however, it would still be better to only own a single edition of any given resource.

(This problem also appeared with the two electronic versions of Greek Grammar Beyond the Basics.)
A one-to-many pointer in the tagging would seem like a quick fix, but perhaps this isn't allowed in the program's architecture.

There are two problems we need fixing... tagging and billing!

Not if the two series have different publishers they can't.

Exactly, which is one of the issues here.
The only satisfactory way to fix this problem, is to intercept links to the UK edition and forward them to the US edition (and vice versa), if you only own one edition.
