Clippings documents can not be created in FSB app 5.1.1 . Also they do not show up in the document menu for this same App. IOS 9.1, iPhone 6s.

You are correct - Clippings are not supported in the FSB app.

That is a not in line with the 5.1.0 release notes posted on these forums. There was no disclaimer re FSB app.

With a new phone an extra storage space I thought it might be worthwhile to have this app in addition to the standard app so i could use it as a separate workspace but disappointed to find clippings missing.  When will this be available in this app?

i apologize for not being more specific in the release notes, my fault.  Clippings are not supported in the FSB app and to my knowledge will not be in the future.

I hope you are wrong Kevin. From a user standpoint it should not matter what app you are using, clippings should be available in all apps.

If you want another app with Clippings, you can use Verbum, Noet or Biblia.  Not every feature is available in every app and this is by design.

And that design choice provides a very poor user experience for continuity of access to user created content across applications. I really wonder if the customer experience is given any thought at all when these 'design choices' are made. This one is appalling design choice and symptomatic of the fact this company has lost its way when it makes these sort of decisions.

I share the opinion that the mobile app experience is very confusing. On desktop, Noet/Logos/Verbum all have the same features, just different branding. As a Logos user, there is no reason for me to also have Noet or Verbum.  I have never seen it clearly explained why someone would like the FSB app versus Biblia, etc. https://www.logos.com/android certainly doesn't help.

Each mobile app bundles a different set of resources and has a different target audience.  The Biblia! app is for Spanish speaking customers, Verbum for Catholics, Noet for those who like the Classics, the FSB app for those who like to study and interact with others using Faithlife groups, Vyrso as a more basic E-Reader, etc.

There is some overlap in each of these apps but you can also run them side-by-side, have different resources download in each app, keep separate favorites folders, etc.  We think offering more than one app with slightly different feature sets offers variety, and customers usually like that.

Please see https://www.logos.com/websites for more information on the different Faithlife brands.
