IVPBBCOT missing Isaiah 55:1-8

The IVP Bible Background Commentary: Old Testament is missing content from Isaiah 55:1-8 that whole section is missing.

Can anyone confirm whether the print edition does this too?

Sorry I don't have the print edition so can't check that. But this is fairly common - see section on Is 48:1-22 below

I think the principle is that they only commit on texts where there is some specific background information they want to convey

This matches what I have in the Logos edition. It is odd indeed that they had titled the section as 55:1-13 when the commentary extends only from verse 8, but that oddity is carried over from the print edition it seems.
