Samsung S7 - North America loses again

Give up any hope you may have had that the Samsung Galaxy S7 would signal a change from Samsung's history of only offering North American buyers stripped down crappy versions of their products.

Despite the hype that it would come in 32gb, 64gb, and possibly 128gb flavors, today's announcement revealed that only a 32gb version will be offered in North America.

And Android 6 (Marshmallow) adoptable storage will not be supported.

So look elsewhere, or buy an international S7, if you want lots of storage for your Logos library on your Samsung phone.

I suppose I can see what the Samsung Note 6 brings. The Note 5 still has too much of a lightweight battery IMHO. The hefty battery that comes in the S7 was a major reason I have been awaiting its announcement. But I think Samsung has lost me as a customer.

Dare I reconsider my preference to avoid Apple products and get the iPhone S6 plus with 128gb storage? Maybe, but again the smallish size battery scares me.

I think the Samsungs have become better but I have had friends and family who have had nothing but troubles with them (mostly with the micro USB port repeatedly dying). I am perfectly happy with my iPhone 6 and battery life is great... If I was going Android I would likely go Sony or LG since the over all quality of their products seem better, indeed the LG 5 coming out this spring uses adoptable storage.

Randy for the difference in price between Galaxy S7 32gb and 64GB based on S6 prices - you can add in a 128Gb micro SD as they have reintegrated one, and still have change.. and your whole library

I myself am holing out for a Note 6

But the micro SD system allowed on the S7 precludes adoptable storage so it it useless to FL apps.

odd move by Samsung, it would have been nice to have been given a choice.

However if other Mobile Bible software companies can utilise a microSD then there is no excuse for FL to not do it also , after all we have only been requesting this enhancement since the first android beta.

...before buying an "international" revise it's 4G, H+ etc frequency! They are different depending on the country the device was build for...

I will all but guarantee this is an issue with carriers who don't want to support this and/or media companies certain that we're all criminals planning to share their movies and tv shows with each other.

You're probably right, but I think also Sammy, for whatever reason, seems to get a buzz out of flicking the chin to North America. I recall a few years ago when they were rolling out the OTA upgrade to Gingerbread, every backwater joint from Freedonia to Elbonia was receiving the upgrade many months before it got over here.
