Two questions for those who know this resource:
What software does Piper you to annotate the Bible passages?
He uses an iPad app called Bible Mark Up (also on Android).
The lessons teach Piper's method of analysing propositions and are always taught with examples that are typical of his teaching - if you don't agree with him, you might find it less valuable, though of course it will help you understand how he lands where he does and he might persuade you that his thoughts have some merit - I adore Piper's work, so I'm pleased, but it's certainly not neutral.
Do all of these videos download? If so, how much disk space is needed? Or are they accessed online as you view them?
this looks interesting, thanks.
Thank you for noting this. I will be using this app now (thanks to you) for similar studies in our Life Groups. Excellent
They are stored on the Faithlife servers by default. You can download the videos by clicking the option "Download all media":
Thank you.
I set the book and the video to Link Set "A", but appears they are not linked. Anyone shares the same experience?
Will these videos show up under courseware in my library (along with Mobile Ed courses and DIY?)
If so, will they be listed individually or under one title "Look at the Book"?
I do not want to clutter my library with 100 new titles.
This is how mine show:
Thanks, Rick. I was hoping it would work that way.
I'd be curious to know how much space all the videos would take up if anyone has done it.
my thoughts, too
It occupies close to 5GB of space.
Thanks for the info.
So I click on "Download all media" and it takes a few hours to get it all down.
Then the button appears again. I click on it, and it downloads ... again!?Could we have it disabled or something when it finishes downloading?
Where does it copy the videos to? I've searched my Logos folder, but couldn't find them.
<Application Home>/Data/<Random>/WebCache
Downloaded content has randomized names.
Logos wiki => https://wiki.logos.com/Quick_Installation_onto_Multiple_Macs#Copy_Logos_Resources_to_Mac_OS_X has <Application Home> details
Keep Smiling [:)]
Would it mean that the 5 gigabytes of video are not persistently stored but cleared on reboot or whatever?
I doubt it. I have several files dating back 6 months or more in that folder, and I have rebooted a couple of times since then.
Thanks.
Then all the more I would suggest to FL that the button "Download all media" be grayed out upon completed downloading. No fun downloading 5 gigabytes of data again and again.
A progress bar would also be nice.
(I'd put it on user voice, but I have no votes left there.)

Give me a Link and I will vote with you:)

I can't create more requests. I couldn't even put votes on a request in case someone else created it. But I still support improving video download (and audio download in the same way)

I'm in the same situation but I totally agree that this would be a helpful feature.
👍🏼
Levi, what is the symbol you are using below? Just thought that you should know how it shows in my browser.
Levi, what is the symbol you are using below?
It's a thumb's up, but apparently doesn't work in every browser—thanks for the heads up, Bruce.

I thought it might be a browser issue. I'm using Firefox. It would be nice if there were more choices of symbols in the forum menu.
I'm curious if anyone is familiar with using this resource. I was looking at it last night and it seemed hard to navigate as I couldn't find an index so I had to click through each heading to see what bible references were there. I'm assuming i'm doing this wrong

If you open the resource you can see the videos, outline and list at the same time which appears in canonical order.
You can use a Reading List index for it, created as part of the community effort to build such indexes for mobile.Ed courses - which gives the additional benefit of checking off those you have watched.
