List of Devices That Allow Moving Logos App Data to MicroSD Card
Users have repeatedly asked for Faithlife to support moving app data from a device’s internal storage to an installed memory card. Faithlife employees have repeatedly stated that this was not supported and have been unable to provide a timeline for if it ever would be. However, I recently discovered by accident that my own phone appeared to be storing data on the memory card rather than internal storage, and Kevin made a distinction between whether something actually works and whether it is officially supported by Faithlife. It appears that the feature in question does in fact work on certain devices even though it is always unsupported by Faithlife (so you have been warned). My goal in starting this thread is to produce an accurate list of which devices do allow for this and which devices do not. So far it sounds like the list of devices that DO support it are:
Motorola Moto G (3rd gen.)
Samsung Galaxy Note II
So far it sounds like the list of devices that do NOT support it are:
Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini
Please add to either list and feel free to make comments/corrections on the devices I have already added to the lists.

These two devices run Android 4.4.2, are running Logos Bible 5.1.4, and have stored Logos Bible data on the SD Card from the get-go, with no specific intervention on my part. I have assumed that such data management was a function of the OS version (and/or the device maker). There is a small stub of data on the internal storage (~50MB), but the vast majority of data (~870MB) is on the SD Card.
Samsung Galaxy Avant
Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7"
EDIT: So, having looked at the other thread, and discovering that "SD card" has more names than Aragorn (who is the schnook that decides on this terminology, anyway?), I can't be sure that the list I added is valid. In any case, I haven't run out of storage yet.
macOS (Logos Pro - Beta) | Android 13 (Logos Stable)

This is harder to check than I first realised. The system can say something is on the sdcard but actually it may be local. ES file explorer is helpful for finding out the situation. On this basis it appears that the 2016 kindle fire I'm writing this on does not support running logos from the SD card.

The following Samsung devices do not support moving Logos data to extsd:
Galaxy Grand
Galaxy S Duos
Galaxy J7
Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 *
Galaxy Tab 2 7.0
* not yet updated to Android 5.1 due to regional restrictions.

I must confess that I think I fell into this same trap. From what my phone was showing (see below), I had thought that the Logos app was storing large amounts of data on my microSD card. However, ES File Explorer clearly showed me that this clearly was not the case.
Despite my screenshot above suggesting otherwise, my data is in fact located on internal storage. I *think* I pinpointed the source of my confusion, and I *think* I now have a clearer picture of what users should expect to see if in fact their app has been moved to a memory card. Between my phone showing that over 4GB of data was “SD card data” and the “Move to SD card” button being greyed out, I had (incorrectly) thought that at some point in the past I must have moved the data to the external card. In my head, the button was greyed out because I had already moved the data and thus could not move it there a second time. THIS WAS WRONG! I did some more digging online about moving apps to the memory card. I found an app called AppMgr III (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.a0soft.gphone.app2sd&hl=en) that allows you to move SOME (key word) apps to the memory card without a rooted phone. I did this with a few apps, and here is what you should see on your phone afterwards:
If anyone’s Logos app is in fact on a memory card, they should see the above “Move to device storage” message, NOT a greyed out “Move to SD card” (like I had previously thought). For anyone interested, AppMgr III automatically identifies which apps you have the freedom to move from internal storage to a memory card. What I found out is that the difference is NOT the make/model of your device (which was the hypothesis of the previous thread that I restated at the beginning of this thread). The difference is whether the app developer (in this case Faithlife) allows users to move the installation.
I am sorry if my original post in this thread offered false hope. It sounds like both myself and several other users misinterpreted the information Android was displaying regarding what was installed where. Hopefully this post, long as it is, will serve to clear up any confusion. If you just want to check your folders manually to see what is installed where, the relevant directories should be something like:
Internal storage - /mnt/sdcard/Android/data/com.logos.androidlogos
and
MicroSD card - /mnt/extSdCard/Android/data/com.logos.androidlogos
In summary, my current understanding is that there are only two ways you will ever get your Logos app installed on a memory card, and neither one has anything to do with the make/model of your device. The first option is that Faithlife could choose to join other developers who support this feature in their apps. So far they have not done so, and they have publicly stated the rationale for their decision. The second option is that you could choose to root your phone and accept all the risks associated with so doing. If someone can come up with a third option, please feel free to post it. I have clearly been wrong before and would LOVE to be proved wrong again! [:P]

That is incorrect.
Two options dependent on the model and Android version have been elaborated in the other thread. Since my devices support neither, I can't take any screenshots. The relevant settings can be made in the "Storage" tab of the Android settings.

By my count there were only two people on the other thread who said they had makes/models where this was working. Both have had to take back their initial claims on this thread (I was obviously one of those two people). Every other person who specifically identified a make/model indicated it did NOT work on that device. I feel like I am in the X-Files right now - "I want to believe" - the problem is that proof of a device where this works has been elusive. What combination of device and Android version are you suggesting this does work on? If you have something specific that you know for sure works, this thread may yet redeem its original purpose!

Here's an example of a device that can move app data to external SD out of the box:
