I sortet all Ancient Literatur in Church History Periods and Before Christ. This might be a Help. If you are crasy enough you could try to find out when every single Book was written and tag it...then you can search by Date.

For Church History you can try

Search by Era/Time Period

Apostolic Age (6 BC – 70 AD)

You can use the Timeline tool to see the dates of writers, using lists in the search field, provided that you have enough resources in which such dates are tagged. For instance, "Herodotus, Thucydides, Xenophon" will show you all three, but you need to make sure you have the right categories selected in the tool and that the zoom level shows you the entire period.
