I am using a Kindle Fire HDX, I have 2 panes. On left is ESV. Pressed a word to do a "test" word study....it opened on pane on the right. But I can't get it to close or put another resource there. How do I do that?
You should be able to get it to close by "dragging" the semi circle at the bottom of the separating line.
To put a new resource there you just need to open the resource with that pane selected (tap on it to select)
Does that work for you?
I had tried dragging, but that wouldn’t close it, just made the pane smaller…I ended up just using my arrow to back it up to where I was before I did the word study.
Which app are you the using? Sounds like it might be the Faithlife Study Bible app.
If so, you could think about using the Bible! app
I just tried it again. Did a word study....then dragged the semi circle to close it....thought it wa closed, as it appeared I had only 1 pane...but then when I went to the right to try to do a 2nd pane again, there was the same word study there....Is there some place where there is good instruction on how to use Logos on the Kindle? I looked at the instructions for the Android, and it wasn't that great....but tis is the first time for me trying to do Logos on a tablet.
Dragging to close the pane doesn't actually remove what was on it, just hides it, which might explain what you are seeing.
For training - have you seen https://www.logos.com/training/kindlefire ?
I'm using the Logos Kindle app that I downloaded from Amazon.

Yes, that is where I started, but the instructions were quite pitiful and didn't always match what was on the Kindle screen...but I could figure out what they meant...but the instructions are really lacking.
Graham, Is it possible to have my ESV on the left pane, and my DBL Hebrew dictionary on the right pane. Be offline and somehow touch a word in my Bible that would bring up the definition in my dictionary on the right? I know I have to be online in order to do a word study, but I wondered if there was a way to just get a definition with the proper lexicon opened.
Not currently - you're effectively doing a Lookup which requires you to be online
