Footnotes on iPad

The basic thing I am looking for is to be able to read the footnotes in my Logos New Jerusalem Bible in my iPad app. I do see the footnotes that are scripture cross-references, but what about the explanatory footnotes? Unless this app does not have the explanatory footnotes? Have tried turning various settings below on or off and nothing shows up. Have attached a couple of screenshots. Appreciate help.

As far as I know, I am reading this off-line. I purchased and downloaded it in July, 2011.

Turning Bible Text Only to Off does not reveal any explanatory footnotes. After turning that to Off removes the scriptural cross-references. But no explanatory footnotes with Bible Text Only either on or off.

I don't own this Bible so can't check it, but it would appear that they may not be available. Hopefully someone with the resource can check it.

Not sure I'm following you. Turning Bible Text Only to off should reveal the cross references.

I could be mistaken but I believe the current New Jerusalem Bible is the Reader's Edition that does not contain the extensive explanatory footnotes the original 1966 edition has. I know that it the case in hardcopy.

Can you confirm by looking at the same bible on your Logos desktop application? Are you seeing different notes there?

1. 'Bible Text Only' turned off: no scriptural cross references. 'Bible Text Only' turned on: scriptural references appear at the bottom of the screen. In neither case are there any explanatory footnotes.

2. I had occasion to look at a copy of a 1985 hard cover print edition of the New Jerusalem Bible, and it has copious explanatory footnotes. It also has far more scriptural cross references than the iPad edition. I also noted that the introductory sections (to say, the New Testament) in the print edition have much more material than this iPad edition. Perhaps I am expecting too much. I still treasure my original 1966 edition of the original Jerusalem Bible with its wonderful introductions and footnotes. But I thought there might be at least a few explanatory footnotes in this iPad Logos edition.

The edition with footnotes is in pre-pub ... which means that when and if enough users order the version with footnotes, it will be produced.
