IOS/iPad Feature Request: Keyboard shortcuts - i.e., cmd-g to go to a verse

Folk,

I've posted a feature suggestion on UserVoice and wanted to share it here for visibility. I use an iPad with a keyboard during service and would love to have keyboard shortcuts for features like entering a verse, selecting a new resource, looking up a word/topic, etc. Basically for any functionality where a textbox asks for input or selected text can have an action performed, add keyboard shortcuts.

https://logosmobile.uservoice.com/forums/190765-logos-mobile-apps/suggestions/7218869-ipad-ios-add-keyboard-shortcuts-for-common-acti

Some potential examples:

cmd-g: Go to the verse entry box with all previously entered text pre-selected (easy to overwrite or hit an arrow key to move the cursor to the end/beginning)

cmd-c: copy highlighted text

cmd-v: paste highlighted text

cmd-t: topic guide

cmd-r: reading view

cmd-l: library view with cursor in the text entry box

Thanks,

-jbl

I guess keyboard usage with Logos on IOS isn't a popular thing. :-)

Replying to myself again.... I find myself in church wishing I had a hotkey to "go to" a verse. I'm probably a 1% logos user as most folk seem to be mouse-based these days.... But as a touch typist who uses Logos and is responsible for at least 5 distinct logos licensees (since I bought them FOR other people), PLEASE add a keyboard command to "go to" a verse that I can use in church without having to touch the screen in exactly the correct ("imprecise") way....

Hi. Bob? Someone? I'm a single user, but I'm pretty sure I've personally put $10k+ into Logos from my multiple license purchases, can I please be heard?

    Hi jbl,

As far as I understand the kind of keyboard support you are requesting is a low priority as the vast majority of mobile users don't use a physical keyboard with the mobile apps.  If we were to eventually implement something like this it would require some careful thought into the best way to do it, but the cost/benefit might not be there yet (I don't know if it is or not).

I will bring it up with the team at our next meeting.
