BUG? Getting different Results for a Bible search
I get different results for a bible search on English Bibles:-
Basic Bible
Term bible:body body
4.0a Laptop 7112/3886 art. 7112/6221 verses ---> no Supplemental, Win XP
4.0a Desktop 7112/3904 art. 7112/6246 verses ---> has Supplemental Index, Win 7 RC
4.0b Laptop 7112/3904 7112/6241 ---> no Supplemental, Win 7 RC
Match All Word forms & Match Case are OFF.
If I had tools like Verse List and could collapse/expand book results (HINT), I might be able to sort this out quite quickly ...However, there appears to be an index issue with different verses/articles on 4.0a SR-3.
Note: I already eliminated one variable as The Complete Word Study Bible:KJV was giving ZERO results in the Bible Search and 174 in Basic - see http://wiki.logos.com/Bug$3a_The_Complete_Word_Study_Bible$3a_KJV_returns_zero_results_in_Bible_Search
Resources are the same version in each installation as they are scanned from the Desktop master installation.

There are no differences with my Top Bibles - ESV, NET, NKJV, HCSB and NIV
But the following collection produces differences:
type:bible lang:English title:trans
It comprises God's Word Trans, Good News Trans, Holy Bible Translated from the Latin Vulgate, NLT, New Testament: expanded (Wuest), and Young's Literal.

4.0a Laptop 1353/723 art. 1353/1133 verses ---> no Supplemental, Win XP
4.0a Desktop 1353/738 art. 1353/1155 verses ---> has Supplemental Index, Win 7 RC
What do you get? Note that Match All Word forms & Match Case are OFF, and select All Passages for Bible range.
If you haven't got all the bibles then tell me what you get for God's Word and Good News.

We just found a bug in index merging when an updated (not a new) resource is indexed and then merged into the main index. The bug will cause the number of hits to be correct, but the number of verses to be wrong. It can also cause Grid and Analysis views to crash when displaying results. The Bibles that we've had problems reported from so far include GNT (aka GNB) and LEB, but any Bible that's been updated since your index was last rebuilt could be affected. The only workaround that I currently know of is to "rebuild index".

Bradley, which of my 3 systems gives correct results (I have 2 systems whose last op was a rebuild with no subsequent merge!)
And when will the bug be fixed?

After rebuilding my Bible Index, I get 7,112 results in 6,221 verses (Bible search). (I can't give an accurate Article count from Basic search because I haven't rebuilt my Library Index.)
The bug will probably be fixed after Beta 6; the developer it's assigned to is currently working on another searching feature.

The result matches Laptop 4.0a which had a full rebuild recently. I'm currently rebuilding the Laptop 4.0b which had a merged index. Just wondering why the Desktop result would be wrong when the Main was fully rebuilt followed by the creation of a Supplemental index.

Rebuilt Laptop 4.0b and results now match Laptop 4.0a!
EDIT: Also rebuilt Desktop 4.0a and results now match Laptop 4.0a!
