iPad does not sync to cloud, only receives

My iPad looses all Highlights with the book "Cry of the soul" by Allendar. 
I highlight something and it doesn't appear anywhere else. Also not at documents.logos.com.
I created a New Note file to put the Highlights in. Nothing.

It can Download Highlights from the PC though. It's only a one way Problem. Running iOS Logos 5.2.20001.
I renamed the Notebook file but only lost all Highlights twice

There is probably no way to recover those?

    What is the name of the Note File you are using? How are you forcing the highlights to go there?

    Renaming the Notes file shouldn't lose highlights - it might cause them no longer to be displayed. Suggest you don't rename any more until we have worked out what is going on.

    - a "newer version" in the Cloud (new because of the renaming, but lesser highligts)
    - an "older version" on the iPad (with all the added highlights but old name)

    So Logos decided to replace the whole iPad file with the Cloud. And I was back to my old version :(

    Did you press the Home button on your iPad to force a sync? Please see https://community.logos.com/forums/t/123105.aspx . 

    Also, how many notes are in the problematic note document? This can be determined by going to documents.logos.com and clicking the document name and then viewing the bottom of the page - it should say (<number of> notes total).

    Documents with a large number of notes will take longer to sync.

    Thanks for the kind help. 

    Yes, I've done all the average things. There are MANY notes in my document. And I tried it over hours to sync. If it TOOK hours, that would not be helpful for everyday work. But it didn't even work then.

    I did reinstall the App but it didn't work either. 

    What helped is: unter settings in the App choose "Use Highlight Document for each book" (or something like that). So it created a highlight file for the book itself. Now it syncs again.

    So it might be a broken document? But it's still quite annoying. Because when I highlight within the Desktop App, it won't put those highlights into the book-note-file :( It just feels like a mess. 

    Maybe Logos should create its on category for "Highlight-Notes"!? Clippings, Syntax, Notes, Hightlight-Notes (which would be kind of a "twin-brother". Also: my App is in German, my Dektop version in English. So it creates two documents: "Highlights" and "Hervorhebungen". "Solid Markers" und "Hervorhebungs-Stifte"... So I have 12 documents for different styles in different languages... Man! 

    I love logos and the resources.. But in these little things it can be sooo annyoing.

    Pretend to print the note document in L6. How many pages would it be?

    What an interesting thread.

    I too have spanish and english highlight files, since I use spanish and english apps. I learned the app doesn't default to the user's most recent doc, when installed. Or didn't anyway.  In any event, they're spread out randomly in multiple languages.

    Logos sent me an email ... ready to download your long-awaited purchase. Oh, wow! I turn on my ipad's wifi, open the app, and watch it display all 4,000 volumes ... except the one I bought. I'm experienced .. I click on title, then most recent. Nope.  Ok, sit and wait.

    Eventualy, it appears. I select ... it loads ... in theory. Blank resource, no text, but a book title. I try my other Logos app, patiently wait again. Select the new book. It loads. But only the first chapter is operable. Well, ok!

    I delete the Logos app and all my downloaded books. Then I delete the other Logos app and its books. Done. An hour wasted.

    My ipad is now my Kindle, Accordance and Olivetree platform. I can't recall ever a problem with them.

    Could you please use Report a Problem under the Help menu and send us your app logs? This might help us determine the problem.

    It might be worth getting Logos Desktop logs as well.

    Most people run the same language on both Desktop and iOS. The built-in Palette Document names reflect each language, thus the duplication. I will write up an inquiry case to see if there might be a better way to manage these across locales.
