I have some books tagged "small groups" and others tagged "small group" I actually want all these tagged the same way. What is the best way to clean this up?
Updated this post with better instruction in a new post below.
how do I select all the ones that have the tag "small group"
Sort it by tags.
Josh I'm at computer now so can give you better instruction. Originally I mentioned selecting all of the resources, this is actually not required. In your library you just need to go to one of the resources that has the tag you want to change.
Assuming you want to change all tags "small group" to "small groups"
1. Filter the library by using mytag:"small group". This step allows you to confirm all the resources that will be affected by the change.
2. Select one of the resources from the filtered list
3. If the resource information panel is not showing on the right hand side of the library window, click on the resource information button to display the panel.
4. In the resource information panel right click on the tag you want to rename and choose rename tag on all resources.
5. rename the tag and click on the blue arrow to apply the updated name to all resources
6. You will see the notification about library catalog updating while the changes are being made in the background.
7. Your books should now be able to be found in your library using the new tag
You can filter these these ways: mytag:"small group" mytag:"small groups" mytag:"small group*" displays both
First filter by mytag:"small group" , select all the resources, add the tag "small groups" to all, then (still using that selected group) delete the tag "small groups"
All are now "small groups"
Got it; thanks!
Nice summary of all the options Robert [Y]
