How to Link a word in Bible directly to TEYS or Pronunciation resources
I’ve installed the Logos app on my Android app, and a common need I keep having while on the road is to be able to get the pronunciation of a word. The TEYS app and Pronunciation guide is terrific and I now have them as tabs in my desktop layouts, however, to get to them when reading a passage on my phone is very cumbersome and time consuming. Which makes me think I’m possibly missing the use of a feature.
Currently to get the pronunciation of a word, I have to split screen, go back to Home, then Search, start typing the book name “That’s…”, pick the TEYS app from the list, when it comes up, scroll down to the starting letter of the word for which I need a pronunciation, when the book opens, then scroll endlessly until I get to the page containing the word I’m looking for. Finally, I click on the very tiny “sound” icon (I’m thankful for the Android pen, because it’s too small to click with my finger), and I finally get it pronounced for me. This process can easily take five minutes or more.
One thought occurred to me is whether it is possible to customize the resources in the “Info” box that comes up when you highlight a word (same question for my Windows version of Logos, actually), so that you could then pick TEYS or Pronunciation from the Info list and it would take you directly to that word in those resources? If not, is there any other way to link TEYS and/or the Pronunciation guide to words I click on in either Android or Windows (in Windows, I’m retyping the Word in I want to look up but since I have the app always active and there’s a search box, it only takes a few seconds)? If I can’t link it, is there a faster way to get to a specific word (i.e., is there search feature) within TEYS?
Finally, I’ve never been able to find the pronunciation tool in my android app (available in Windows version of Logos under the Tools menu). Does this exist?

I am unfamiliar with the "TEYS" app so I don't really know.

Currently there is no pronunciation tool available in the mobile apps.

Hi Kevin
When David mentions TEYS I think he is referring to https://www.logos.com/product/7299/thats-easy-for-you-to-say-your-quick-guide-to-pronouncing-bible-names-3rd-ed
It appears as TEYS in the app.

That is correct, Graham, and sorry for not being more clear. I am referring to the "That's Easy for You to Say" app. It provides pronunciations to Bible words that don't appear in the Logos Pronunciation tool.
Thanks,
David

Hi David - no problem
The TEYS isn't actually an "app" it's simply a resource (book).
There isn't any way to link it into the Info window but there is a Table of Contents - click at the top of the resource and then the parallel lines that appear next to the page number. That should help you find the words you are looking for more quickly.
(This is based on how it works in the iOS app - I don't have the Android version at the moment)
