Faithlife Updates
We're constantly improving the Faithlife website. Here's some of the fixes and improvements we've shipped over the past few weeks:
- A new "basic" template for newsletters, along with lots of UI fixes
- Improvements to photo load times on mobile devices
- Fixes to our URL parsing system in posts (trailing periods were being matched incorrectly)
- Support for reading the first half of Dan Lovaglia's new book, "Relational Children's Ministry", for free
- Speed improvements, viewable on beta.faithlife.com. This is a version of our site where we ship updates first, and when they are stable, we bring them over to faithlife.com. Give it a try!

Thanks for the great improvements. Our church uses Faithlife often. You mention in this post "Improvements to photo load times on mobile devices" Thank you, but how does that work? I have not seen any app updates on my phone for several months.

The app for iOS / Android is a dedicated web browser with push notification support. All it does behind the scenes is load faithlife.com in a full-screen browser window. This means any time we update faithlife.com, all of our customers' apps get updated at once.
For photo load times, we were loading the full-size images on mobile devices, even if the screen is small. Now we intelligently pick the largest size that makes sense for that device without downloading unnecessarily large files.
By the way, in the past few weeks, we've shipped a lot of improvements to the newsletters feature. We're currently working on adding tracking and making the editor on mobile work well. We're also working on building community in these public groups by giving away free access to selected books / mobile ed courses in these groups:

More improvements to church bulletins are coming soon!
