I can't seem to find the
Andersen‐Forbes Phrase Marker Analysis
or the
Lexham Syntactic Greek New Testament: Sentence Analysis
In my library (I have the original languages package).
Anyone know what's going on?
I found these files in my resource folder:
LexhamSGNTGraph.lbxclv
AfSyntaxGraphs.lbxclv
meaning they are there, but for some reason Libronix is not seeing them!
They show up fine in Logos 4. So I wonder of this has something to do with having both L3 and L4 installed?
Have you synchronised your licence in L3? If this does not work you will have to contact Customer Support.
Yes I did. It didn't work.
I sent an email to customer support yesterday and have yet to hear from them.
I was hoping someone from Logos could answer me here.
Unfortunately, once it is ascertained you have a genuine issue for activation or licences CS are the only people to help you!
EDIT: let's try a few other things first.
When you say they show up fine in Logos 4, I assume they work in L4. Are the files in L3 the same as the ones in L4 (if so what version in L4 - go to Resource Information and look at the bottom for Support Info).
In L3 run Account Summary. Can you find LEXHAMSGNTGRAPH and/or afsyntaxgraphs?
Or do you find several iterations of The Lexham Syntactic Greek New Testament and The Hebrew Bible : Andersen-Forbes Analyzed Text?
Clear the system cache as per Solution 2 at http://www.logos.com/support/article/565.
Didn't work. [:^)]. I still get this window:
The resource is there in my resources folder. But Libronix cannot see it. Not even if I display "all known resources" in the librbary dialog.
I don't think it is a license problem, I think it is a bug. And I suspect it has something to do with running the OriginalLanguagesLibrary(LE)AutoUpdate.lbxupd script to get the resources from L4 into L3. I suspect it toasted the graphs in the process.
If it is a bug, I would think it could be addressed by a Logos person here (they are quite hard to get a hold of any other way)
What does the star mean by your icon? Do you work for Logos, or are you more of a "power poster"?
Found this thread. I wonder if it is related?

Not sure what to make of it...
Alright, I fixed it.
Short version: refresh resources in options. Insert install CD and update.
Longer version:
I found this article
http://www.logos.com/support/article/911
and followed Solution 2
None of it worked until I got to step 7
"If they are still not available, clean anyfingerprints and smudges on the underside of the DVD or CD, then insertthe disc in the drive. Watch again for the words Discovering Resources in the lower-right corner. (This process can take 10-20 minutes with the DVD.)"
I thought the part about "cleaning finger prints was pretty funny. I inserted the CD, and followed the prompts (which incidentally did not match the webpage article). It wanted me to install the "English user interface" so I did. In the process I saw it say it was installing "graphs" and "syntactic" stuff (which was what was missing.
The Lexham and Andersen-Forbes clause analysis resources are back now.
Again, I think this occurred as the result of running the update script to get the L4 resources into L3. So I'm reporting this as a possible bug in that update script for any logos folks who might be listening.[*-)]
As Julian says, All will be made well, will be made well.
In the process I saw it say it was installing "graphs" and "syntactic" stuff (which was what was missing. The Lexham and Andersen-Forbes clause analysis resources are back now.

Ah yes, if you didn't have any Syntax stuff prior to your upgrade to L4, the Syntax Tools addin + Clause Visualizer software needed to be installed. Did the L4 to L3 script offer to install any software or was it just resources, because I doubt it would affect your installation. Sounds like more a problem of omission. Why don't you bring this up in the Logos4 forum?
BTW if you click on my Star you will see what it means.

I had all of this functionality in Logos 3 before I did the upgrade. Only after I upgraded was that functionally (ie the ability to open these resources) lost.
Did the L4 to L3 script offer to install any software or was it just resources,
I don't recall it mentioning any software.
Why don't you bring this up in the Logos4 forum?
Okay.
Thanks much for your help!
