Can not open/download book resource
Hi,
I've being happily using the book resource “Himnario Bautista de la Gracia” in my android device without problems for more than a year. Together with a couple of bibles is one of the books that I downloaded to the smartphone. Three weeks ago I received a system message saying that the resource needed to be updated. I agree to the upgrade and then the download process returned an error. After that the app keep saying that the resource is ready for download but each time I retry the download, an error is returned. On the home screen I have permanent messages with a downward arrow in a green circle icon that said “Download Book” and another that makes reference to the book with the message “download failed”. So I decided first to clear the app cache and data, then force stop the app and rebooted the smartphone. I lost all my settings and my other downloads but after reconfiguring and downloading the other resources I tried to download the book and again it failed with the same error message. This doesn’t happen from the computer. I’m able to open the book offline and online. So I tried to open the book “online” from the smartphone but this time I get no access from the smartphone. I get the error message “unknown error occurred opening resource”. So this time I decided to remove the app completely and downloaded it again. The app got installed, downloaded couple of book, but again when I tried to download the book I got the download error message.
Then I decided to contact Logos customer support and the specialist told me to use the error reporting tool that is available from the app’s main menu. The email was generated and sent but that was a week ago. Today I was not able to use the book and I haven’t received a response from Logos.
I talk with a brother at church that also have logos and the book. He is not using android but iPad and iPhone. We tried both devices and the app is different (it even looks better), didn’t got an error message and had the appearance to be open but then no contents are showing, we got a blank screen. I tried another android device but I get the same problems that I get with my smartphone. I also tried the "Bible app" and the "Biblia app" on the iPad.
So my phone was tested, the app was tested, iOS devices were tested with a different account, another android device was tested but the resource is not working.
Please advise because I really like to keep using the book at church. Even more now that we finally have Wi-Fi. By the way I tried all that on Wi-Fi and with the carrier’s network.

Logos, I have the same problem as Edil, it downloads to my Android, but does not install, it seems to be caught in an endless loop

Tom thanks for confirming the problem. Typically Kevin Byford from logos answers my questions. This is definitively something that only Logos can fix.

This resource (among others) was recently updated to allow for better feature support in the Desktop app. Unfortunately that means it requires an updated version of the mobile app to work properly.
The good news is this resource works in the current beta version (5.3.2) of both the Android and iOS apps (please see attached screenshot). We intend to release a new version of the stable apps in the next week (if all goes well).

Thanks for your help. I was able to open the book using the beta version but I still get errors downloading it. Please consider to fix this.
