Logos 4 - Resource Prioritization
Now that I am starting to use this more I'm finding it difficult at times to keep track of how I have things set up. I try to keep all related resources that I have prioritized together so that I know the hierarchy within the group but this becomes more difficult to manage as I prioritize more resources.
My suggestion is that we be given the ability to add and name separators within the prioritization list and that these be made collapsible on a per separator basis.

Oh Graham, I wish I had thought of that [:D]. I like the prioritizing but it can get pretty confusing. I seem to recall Mark Barnes had setup his prioritizing in groups but can't remember if I just imagined it or it was something else. Being able to clean it up so you can focus on a group of items rather than it all at one would be helpful. I don't know about anyone else but it can be a tad overwhelming.

I do prioritise in groups. My current list looks like this:
The groups are:
- Red: Bibles followed by Apocryphas.
- Light pink: Apostolic Fathers
- Purple: Bible Dictionaries
- Green: Commentaries
- Light brown: Lexicons
- Grey: Systematic theologies
- Plum: First-century Judaistic writings
- Yellow: Devotionals
Separators would certainly be handy. I'd also like filters, so you could just show Bibles or dictionaries or something.
The important things to prioritise are Bibles, Commentaries and Lexicons and Bible Dictionaries. The first three show up in Passage/Exegetical Guides. All four show up in Parallel Resource sets.
(If you're wondering with NICOT/NICNT seems out of place, it's because having a commentary in your fifth slot guarantees it shows up in the right click menu for a Bible reference, which means you can jump to your favourite commentaries very easily.)

How do you get Logos to put 'my passage guide' and 'my exegetical guide' in the right click bible reference menu? I have created my own, but they only show up under the 'guide' button on the menu bar. Very cool.

Notice that on the right side of the context menu that the reference is selected and not the text selection. Your custom passage and exegetical guides should show up if you have the reference selected.

Wow, Graham had such a good question. Of course it was 6 years later, Graham was answering the same question.
Let's see ... Logos5 .... Logos6 ..... Logos7 .....
Actually, I tried to double-click an english word for a dictionary definition ... but the Logos english Oxford only has headwords .... I got out my Kindle.
But then I noticed my Latin dictionary was capturing english, so I switched over to re-prioritize english above 'all else' ... well, ok .... trying to find my english dictionaries in the priority panel.
Then I noticed the book titles were truly bizarro. Some bolded ... I thought multi-volume sets, but no ... AYBD etc. Then some put the abbreviation field in front of the title creating a mess. But only 'some'. I was truly thankful.
And finally, the best of all .... Subsidia Biblica (bolded too!). I couldn't find that puppy in my library. So I did a search. Woohoo ... it's the technical title ... not the library title! Now, some coder had to really think hard to come up with that! ... and no added abbreviation.
Well, anyway maybe the user at Bellingham HQ will stumble into the prioritizing panel on a future version.
The true purpose of dredging this thread up, is to thank Graham for literally years of great assistance! At least 6 years!

Thank you, Beloved. I see you have the same bizarre-ish title bolding on some single-volume resources originally multi-volume. I'm surprised Logos can't accurately distinguish.
Regarding fake-books, with PBs, I never signed on to that work-around. I'm a big beliver in workaround as synonymous with lazy-programmer. I valued Ft Worth Steve (Dallas?), but I felt sorry for his efforts ... lazy programmers at Logos.
A few weeks ago, I sent a bug-note to an ios app coder. He responded with a workaround. This week I sent him another bug-note, same code section. He fixed both.
Better to fix an issue (even if a delay) than dance around it for years.
But yes, fake books is the user solution. Appreciate it.
