notes aren't loading

I'm having an issue with my notes on my macbook. All my titles are there but when I open them the material isn't loading. If I start a new note it won't allow me to add notes to it but it shows up in my mobile app and on the website. Has anyone encountered this problem and if so how do I fix it? Thanks

Are you talking about the title of the Note File, or of the individual notes?

If the individual notes, check the display mode you have selected for the note file.

In Quotes mode, you see only material selected in the source document

In Compact mode you see the source material plus a ghost image of the note contents

In Full mode, you see the source material and the note content

Thank you Jack, I've never touched those settings before but that was the issue
