New Feature: Quickstart Layouts
QuickStart layouts are predefined layout templates, not unlike the existing Home Page layouts. To access the predefined layouts, go to Layouts at the top right of the screen and click. Near the bottom left hand side of the panel, you will see this option:
With these layouts, you can click to open an out of the box layout that will let you preform the type of study you are interested in.
The resources that fill each of the predefined resource types are chosen the moment you run the layout based upon your prioritized resources.
Like the other homepage layouts, you can override the existing template by making a new arrangement of windows, tiles and panels, and then clicking “Replace with current layout” on the action menu.

Your screen shot is out of date with regards to the order of the layouts I believe. Mine are:
- Quickstart Layouts
- Homepage Layouts
- Saved Layouts

Thanks, MJ! The screenshot has been updated.

This is quite nice. I'm not sure, though, that I like how it pushes all my saved layouts to the bottom of the menu. A wider menu with 3 columns would be better: 1 for quickstart & homepage, 2 for saved, 3 for the snapshots.

The sections are collapsible which drops them only 1 line.

Ah, they do. I shouldn't've missed that one. Thanks, MJ!

If there are a couple of layouts you need quick access to, you could always drag them to the toolbar.

firm ground of the Word of God.”0 -
I have dragged several to the tool bar that I have customized and makes life a whole lot better. Although careful in not getting carried away. I ended up having several that I rarely, if ever use.

Greetings Ken,
I am not sure whether your post is a musing or a request for help with a problem.
You have posted in a discussion about Quickstart Layouts and the last post to this thread was almost two years ago.
However from my reading you are talking about Shortcuts rather than Layouts?
If you have a surfeit of these then you can delete them via the secondary click menu.
