Just got the news in my email.
Candidly, you guys need to re-evaluate your corporate compulsion to be so secret-secret all the time. IMO, it compels you to make decisions that aren't necessarily for the best, such as this one.
I think these are unrelated. We kept the Logos 6 launch secret (or at least tried to [:)]) and it had a visual refresh. We could have done the same for Logos 7 but chose to prioritise other enhancements (for a variety of reasons).
I'm a Logos Now customer but I'm still on 6.14 with no new updates available. Is this a staggered release
If you're on 6.14 it means you're on the beta channel and won't auto update to 7.0 because it was only published directly to the stable channel.
To get the update run the command "set update channel to default" in your command bar.
Maybe I need to wait for the main site to come up. Seems like several have gotten Logos 7 already. Who gets the upgraded version? Is it free for prior owners or is there a fee? How do we get it to update? I had a fairly large download (155MB) this morning, did not know about 7, but I do not see a change to my version 6.

It is being made available to Logos Now subscribers. Non-subscribers will be able to purchase it when the main website comes back up
How do we get it to update?
If a Logos Now subscriber ensure you are on the stable channel - only applies if you have been involved in beta testing
but I do not see a change to my version 6.
Visually it is very similar - to check what version you are running click the "?" at the top right of the screen and select "About Logos Bible Software"
Logos Now subscribers got Logos 7 right away. Everyone else, I guess, will have to wait till the site is up to see what's available.
(Edit: Or what Graham said two minutes before me [:P])
Is it free for prior owners or is there a fee? How do we get it to update?
Don't know if they are taking customers now but you could call 800-875-6467 and have a sales representative put you on "Logos Now subscription."
Logos Now subscribers got Logos 7 right away.
And Verbum Now members get Verbum 7 right away, too. [:D]
My download just started.

OK. That's a strange way of handling it, but I'll do that when I get back home.
I'm interested in seeing the rollout. I've wavered on LogosNow and decided to wait a couple of weeks ago when Phil posted (this is my ever-faulty memory, Phil, so I apologize if I'm "misremembering"!) that we could add LogosNow subscription to our cart with L7 to see if the difference was worth it for us wavering souls.
Hi Mark, God bless:
For us that do not have Logos Now, the release of L7 is good news. Do you happen to know if there will be different base packages, and / or denominational packages available?
I liked the expansion packages that specialized in some areas.
The next areas are important for Theological studies: Textual criticism, Biblical theology, Systematic theology, Historical theology, and Practical theology.
To your knowledge, will the guided course outlines and the theology module help tie up all the above areas into a coherent study?
Thanks ahead of time for any input.
Blessings.

There will be different base packages, but no-one outside Faithlife knows what they will be yet. We'll have to wait a few more hours.
The course outlines are useful, though often at an introductory level. I'm fairly hopeful more material will be added in the future, though. Apart from the MobileEd courses (which you have to purchase) they tend mostly to cover areas of systematic or historical theology.
Ok, thanks.
Yes. there are new set of different base packages and denominations packages.
You can buy them now thru CS, I talked to them already.
Would be nice to read & be able to compare...
Happy to see that Hebrew audio pronunciation is included!
I have Logos Now, so I'm pretty sure not everyone will be seeing this same activity. Correct; Logos Now (and Verbum Now) members get early access to Logos 7 as a benefit of their subscription.

Question....I have Logos Now. Both my machines (Macs) have updated and both have all the new features. However, they both say that I am on version 6.14 RC4. Can you tell me why that is? What am I missing here?
Thanks for any clarity anyone might provide, as I thought I would by upgraded to l7, as it seems other LN members have been. I plan to buy a new package today, but through that I would still be upgraded to the base l7 platform without that purchase.
Thanks!
In the command bar type "Set update channel to default"

Have you "Set update channel to default"?
Maybe I had high hopes for L7, but I feel L7 is not so much of an upgrade. I feel its just another day of LN release. Why? Interface still the same. No facelift. (I thought this would be the first noticeable upgrade) I was hoping more than these minor upgrades (sorry I know you guys worked hard). Nothing groundbreaking or magical. No major thing. No fireworks on first opening L7. Idk, maybe things would look different in the next release of LN in October. t.

I, too, was hoping for a Facelift. I REALLY like a refreshed GUI every now and then. I was especially hoping that Logos would take better advantage of the lefthand landscape (not sure of what it is called - where the lectionaries, prayer lists, etc, are), and would add access of new features or resources to that area...it present it seems like a waste of valuable real estate! Since I do not use lectionaries, that area is half empty for me, and there is nothing I can put there.
It would have also been nice to have the home screen customizable in different ways, such as the ability to select the resources we would like to see displayed there each day.
Hope future updates address the need for a refreshed GUI and better leveraging of left-hand landscape.
I'd rather prefer a new feature of some sort over visual insignificances...
"Visual insignificance"? Now there's a relative and subjective term if if I've ever heard one. LOL. [:D]
The GUI is important to many users, and many wont realize all the features available if the GUI isn't designed properly. In programming, the GUI is the gateway to the features of a platform, and as such, would hardly be considered "insignificant."
I'd prefer a new skin on a program I look at several hours a day than a bunch of promotional videos I'll never watch...
OH MY! IT LOADED! IT LOADED!!

(Well, at least one page did...)
You can disable the "left-hand landscape" area totally. That's what I did after being frustrated with all the empty space.
In addition to what we've already released, here's what's new in Logos 7.0:
Phil (or other FL folks):
Are there any items listed on the L7 product page, particularly under "Feature Set Resources," that do not come with Logos Now?
For example, I'm looking at this page: https://www.logos.com/product/81152/platinum - looking at just "New to you." I see an interactive called "Septuagint Manuscript Explorer" for a standard price of $5.99. But the top of the page acknowledges that I am a Logos Now member. So I can't tell for sure if I will get that interactive without this platinum package or not.
Thanks,
Donnie

No. Logos Now includes everything in the Logos 7 Full Feature Set product.
Thank you for answering so quickly. Does your answer imply that at some level "New to you" isn't completely accurate, since I am a LN member and would thus already have all features / feature sets?
Hi Phil,
Will the Logos 7 Full Feature Set be sold separately? And, if yes, for how much?
While your're waiting for the compare page to come back up, here's some individual product URLs that allow you to do a "New to You" on individual packages (if the page loads, which it's currently doing about half the time for me):
If you're looking for a denominational package, here are links to all the Bronze versions. You can get to the product pages for the other ones from there:
Yes. It's $599.

Keep an eye on this page. https://www.logos.com/ways-to-get-logos
It's also a good time to grab a couple new free books:

New to You currently respects only permanent licenses and ignores temporary ones.

But it will be much less expensive after dynamic pricing, combo discount (i.e., when purchase with a base package library), promo discount, and a Now membership.

I managed to put 5 of these in my cart. When I tried to add the 6th, only one remained. Now they don't even have add buttons any more.
Can someone tell me how that is disabled? And how would one discover that fact outside of this forum? I mean, where is that info at?
Thanks all!

I think you may be looking for the gear wheel next to your name. Select it and turn off the features that you do not wish to see.

I know how to do that..Im in a fairly intermediate user level. I was referring to the comment that Joel made about disabling this area altogether. I had not heard or seen that this was an option, and wanted to get more info from him on how he accomplished it, or from others to confirm what I think, that it isn't actually an option.
Thanks though, Lynden, and blessings to you sir.

Click the gear icon and uncheck everything in the sidebar and the sidebar disappears - or is disabled.
something doesn't work right here. I purchased L7 platinum. Now under Pentecostal Gold, I have to purchase datasets again. Did I actually purchased in L7 Platinum? I dont want to pay double
Yeah that was weird.. I saw the same thing on each packages I bought.
I feel like I'm paying quadruple.
If I go back to my Platinum web page and scroll down I see: "Feature Set Resources You'll Get" and all features are still "New to you". So did I get those resources?
The datasets and base package will have shown up as two separate items in your cart if you purchased them both. If you're a Logos Now subscriber, the datasets (aka Feature Set) would not have been added to your cart. If it wasn't in your cart at checkout, you didn't purchase them.

Faithlife needs to fix it because I feel I was misled. Whenever I was purchasing it was stating: 1. "Library Resources You'll Get", 2. "Feature Set Resources You'll Get" I got a price on top - Done deal. How in the world would I know that I would get one and not the other?
EDIT: If Logos 7 Full Feature Set is for Logos Now only, it should not be included under "New to you"

Maybe Phil Gons's comment here may explain what you're seeing:

It should have been displayed in the selection you made when you added it to your cart. Note that the price on the right reflects the total of the two items on the left.
If Logos 7 Full Feature Set is for Logos Now only, it should not be included under "New to you"
It's not for Logos Now only. It's targeted at those without Logos Now.

It shows that it is included with Logos Now, and I knew it as well, but it is still misleading because I thought even though it is included, I still purchased it.
Why I though that way:
I got these, but here it shows the same thing:
I didnt get these.
There should be no "New to You" option for Logos Now.
EDIT: I didnt even have option to purchase it and under "Feature Set Resources You'll Get" I dint have " * " Thats why I thought I purchased it as well
The asterisk says it's included with your Logos Now membership, which loosely implies that it's not part of the purchase. I agree that it's confusing, as does Eli on another thread.
None of them appears free in my basket
