A few days ago, I pulled up text comparison and scrolled nicely through a passage of scripture, verse by verse, comparing top bibles...

Today, after an update. It appears that text comparison has reverted to previous function.

Anyone else seeing this?

Now that you mention it, Ross, I am having the same experience.

    Juanita,

I just looked at the release notes from yesterday and the only comment is:

    Text comparison - 'fixed'

Seems like a better description is "rewind"

For more clarity, text comparison works as it always has, but, for a short time, for me there was a nice scrolling view and that is what is now gone.

Not me! It seems to be scrolling nicely through the passage in John that I have set.

We have a great internet connection.   This is not a big deal and I don't want to waste anyone's time on it.  The work around is to enter a passage of several verses, not just one verse.

Scrolling Text Comparison is a feature intended for Logos Now / Logos 7 customers. We unintentionally released it to all customers because of a licensing bug - this is the bug that was fixed. The latest version removes Scrolling Text Comparison for customers that don't have Logos Now / Logos 7.

i completely understand what you did. However, the very brief description in the release notes and the removal if a feature while calling it a "fix" even if the feature being added was a mistake, deserves a better explanation than that given in the release nite and in fact, seems to me to be disingenuous.

I've already explained the issue so I'm not sure why you think we're be disingenuous. Unfortunately, bugs sometimes happen and the bug this time was everyone seeing Scrolling Text Comparison.

the point i am making is that ^^ this ^^ is what the release note should have said. What you actually put in the release note served to cause people to think that they had a problem but actually did not. When in doubt, explanations are better.

Point noted, but what's done is done. Apple doesn't allow app release notes to be updated after the fact. Please remember that we're simply human beings and mistakes happen.

    Kevin,

I'm pretty sure I'm both "Logos Now" and "Logos 7". Is there something I need to do on my iPad to ensure I have this function? I am signed into my FL account.

    Please advise.

    Thank you!

Ross, verify your Logos Now subscription. Easy way is to go to www.logos.com/now and click on Join today to see if a subscription is added to your cart.

Mark, that is a great question and glad you asked!

I followed the link, clicked "join today" and sure enough it added a subscription to my cart.

The only thing is, I did that two weeks ago. I have a receipt for the Annual Subscription that I purchased on 8/13/16 to be renewed 8/13/17... in addition, I have been a previous Logos Now subscriber and overlapped one with the other. I think I ended up doubling down for August.

So, somehow, I have been lost from the Logos Now world in the Logos 7 change-over?

Unlikely... Do you use multiple email addresses? If so, that may be the issue. In any case, you may need to call customer service.

Logical thought alabama24, but I only have one email address with Logos...

I'll contact them for sure - but probably wait until the Logos 7 phone storm is over. I don't have much desire to wait on hold.

How long did you wait after installing the app - was the Library finished loading/indexing, etc?

I've had the app since it launched a couple of years ago. I've been a monthly Logos Now subscriber from the beginning and then executed the annual subscription 2wks ago. My desktop Logos 7 version has all of the Logos 7 / Logos Now full feature set.

But, as it turns out, on Mark's advice I followed the "subscribe now" link and it showed up in my Logos cart...

I meant, how long did you wait after installing version 5.4.5? Did you install it and immediate open Text Comparison or did you wait for the Library to load and index, your Reading Plans to appear, etc.?

    Several hours.

I'm on hold attempting to clear up with customer service.

Interesting though... as it turns out, I have two Logos Now subscriptions - one monthly, one yearly - they are different. Or at least being billed separately. Not sure what I missed in that process. But, hoping customer service can help sort it out.
