Can you send me a link to the resource on Logos' site?

I cannot find a link , there must be a way of finding information from your end

Hi Michael, 

From what I can tell, we're not selling that resource any more. Because we have so many Learning Plans we want to make with resource we still sell, it is not likely we'll produce a learning plan for resources that we don't sell any longer. 

We do hope to build the Courses tool in such a way that you can build your own Learning Plans in the future. I don't have a timeline on that and I can't make a firm promise, but if/when that happens, you should be able to build a course with the AM Bible Coursware.

lost my bookmarks, kind of.  I had several bookmarks that pointed to courses that I was in process. Now they don't open.  if I browse to them, it has lost "tracking" what I have completed. when I open a course in Courses that I have completed, it does not show that, and makes me start again.  If I open a completed course from the library, it does go to the "last" location (end/final exam), but has no tracking of the sections being completed.

We added the ability to import your reading progress in 7.0 SR-1.

Did anyone even test this process and think about anyone with more than 5 (a few) courses?

Brent - I implemented and tested the feature. I was not the only one to test it, and not the only one to influence how it ended up, but I will speak on behalf of our intentions. First off, I agree with you that for a user that has gone through a significant number of courses using the Logos Now 6.x version of Courses, this feature does not completely solve the problem of "Let me see the courses I've completed in the Completed section", though it can help get you part of the way there.

Let me take this opportunity (for anyone interested) to elaborate a little on what "Import reading progress" does, and how the feature can be leveraged, along with some of the key differences between the 6.x LN version of Courses, and the 7.0 version.

A 6.x LN course, for the purpose of the Courses tool, was:

1. The combined viewing of a text and associated video of a courseware resource.
2. Granular viewing of "reading progress" data with some added functionality exposed in the Table of Contents of the Courses panel.

A quick note on "reading progress": This is the data stored when a resource is displayed that allows us to say "You've read 30% of this resource" as shown in both the Library view, and the Resource Info view in a Resource panel. This data was (and is) saved when viewing text or media resources in the Courses tool or in a normal Resource panel.  This means that "Import reading progress" can be useful to all users, even if they haven't used the Courses tool before.

A 7.0 course is a specially designed template that includes sections from a number of resources along with other tasks and quizzes.  In general, a Mobile Ed course in 7.0 will include supplementary readings, actions (like "Run this guide"), and screens to track exam completion. None of these elements existed in the 6.x Courses tool, and therefore completing a course in Logos 6 doesn't imply that all the material in the Logos 7 version of the course has been completed.

Enter "Import reading progress". Say you've read some (or all) of a courseware resource, or watched the videos (on the Desktop platform) and maybe a few of the supplemental readings in a Course, and don't want to re-read what you've already read. Start the course, and click "Import reading progress" (yes, there is an extra step to go back to viewing "All plans" in order to click the button). Any reading or viewing that has been previously completed at least 90% will show up as a completed section of the course.  This can be useful to anyone beginning a new course.

Now, for those who have already worked through Courseware resources / Mobile Ed courses, starting a course that you've already completed and importing progress will help surface alll the readings and tasks we would have liked to include in the 6.x version of Courses. This may be something you find useful.

And, for those who have worked through many Courseware resources (Brent, I'm talking to you ), it might be a tedious process to find, start, import, then finish marking unfinished sections complete. I would suggest using the Library view of "Finished" resources grouped by type, as shown in my screenshot above to list the courses you've completed. Then, use the filter box in the Courses tool to quickly find the template for the Course. (As shown below). Finding, starting, and importing progress should go fairly quickly using this method. If the supplemental readings and tasks left unfinished are not relevant to you, then spending the additional effort to manually complete those sections in order to see the course as completed might still be a hassle, but it might be worth looking at what is there.
