A 12 BUG: I can't seen to copy ANYTHING

Hey Devs,

Copying issue seems to be getting worse. I can't copy via Command C or either option in the context menu.

1) Trying to Copy Luke 4:18-19

2) Command C hangs program. Have to Force Quit

3) Copy Bible Verse via Context Menu appears to work, but Clipboard is empty as far as Pages is concerned

4) Selection Copy from Context Menu hangs program. Have to Force Quit

Appears copying bible text with superscript(s) problematic. Can copy Luke 4:18-19 in KJV (using command C or Edit => Copy), but Luke 4:7 has 1 superscript. Looks like console messages has relevant information - attached snippet for KJV Luke 4:7 spinning pizza:

Luke 4:18-19 in ESV has many superscript notes - console message snippet:

Multi-step work around: in A12 show desired text on screen => Print to PDF => open PDF => Copy & Paste verse(s) with superscript(s).

Another work around: select text in A12, right mouse click => on right pane, click Reference, on left pane, click "Copy ..." - then switch to desired program and paste bible text without superscripts and numbering.

Actually, anything with footnotes is busted (goes into an infinite loop). It'll be working again in A13. Haven't tried the work arounds, but if Keep Smilin' says they work, I'm inclined to believe him.

Tom: thanks for the footnote tidbit. Explains why I couldn't copy Luke 4:18 and 19 at all.

Keep Smilin: You are ridiculous--in a good way. I don't know how you think of these things (take that back--I do) but keep it up.

Found a possible bug on the workaround: When you hit print and go to PDF you end up with all the text in the window, not just your selection. I was expecting to just have my selection printed. Workaround still works great, but I figured I'd report this just in case it is a bug.

Tried printing to PDF couple times to see what happened - as your picture shows, selected text has color background in PDF. With passage on screen with nothing selected, print to PDF, then open PDF, select desired text, copy & paste.

Note: on my paste test into TextEdit, initially not sure - changed font size, and saw encouraging results worth sharing.

By the way, laughter is good medicine.
