The NIDNT and NIDOT comes in a bundle together but it is not on sale. That makes no sense to me.

Not quite right...the old versions are bundled, but the new NIDNT is not.

The Zodervan Atlas on Logos is 2010 version and only has 304 pages... The one on Amazon is the latest one, from 2014 with 773 pages.

I believe that the Kindle info posted by Amazon is misleading and has the wrong page count and publication date. The kindle and the print editions are both the revised edition with the exact same cover but with different page numbers and publication dates in the info section. Zondervan Academic only lists a revised edition from 2010 with 304 pages.

While I'm still sitting on the fence for NIDNTTE and ZEB - both are probably good in themselves, and it's rare to see Zondervan titles 60% off but on the other hand, what additional benefit would they bring to a large library well-stocked with lexicons, dictionaries and encyclopedias ...  #firstworldproblems  ... - I hit quick-buy on the ZAB Atlas resource. This looks like a steal, especially when looking for content and comments over at a large retailer.

I also just bought the ZEB. It is similar to the ISBE, but here is my summary of differences:

• Includes tagged Greek and Hebrew GK numbers (this is very nice)
• More internal cross-linking than ISBE
• Color pictures and maps. 
• Maps are good and helpful.  They are plenty large enough to illustrate the articles, however they aren't as good as the maps in the Zondervan Atlas of the Bible.
• Photographs tend to be small (range from 2 to 4 inches on the screen) and are often misaligned with the associated article.  This misalignment is probably a result of the print layout, but I saw several instances where the picture for an article was in the middle of the an adjoining entry (See first screenshot below).  So you might not see it if you didn't scroll up or down a bit.
• Articles are somewhat shorter than the ISBE.  (Sometimes much shorter: In the ZEB, Baptism is 7 pages.  In the ISBE, Baptism is 16 pages.  But that's an outlier.)
• I feel that the ISBE articles are written more scholarly than the ZEB.  The ZEB authors tend to be more discursive, throw in more personal commentary, and write to a different (younger?) audience, but that varies with the article.

Trying to decide if I want to keep it.  I like the images and tagging/linking, but the writing does not stand out.

I couldn't find much in the way of detailed online reviews for the ZEB, so I figured I'd write down my thoughts while I had it.

Anyone think the whole set of NIVAC will be on sale? Really want to get the whole set, and not just the NT. I've heard nothing but good things about this commentary series. 

 If you get the New Testament set right now and then the Old Testament set when it goes on sale it will be better for you to resell them as separate sets than just one whole set if you decide to keep just one in the future.  Right now the current set on sale is the lowest after the $7.99 per volume a few months ago.

 I have the NIVAC NT, NIDNTTE, NIDOTTE and the Atlas in my cart and I'm feeling very tempted to hit the "place order" button. I also feel like shooting for, maybe, a couple more upgrades, but I'm not so sure. I don't want to run my bill to high even though is 0 interest for a year.

You do have a good point there DAL. It just seems to me that Zondervan resources hardly go on sale, well at least it seems that way. So I guess I would have to bank on the OT set going on sale eventually. 

I have NIDNTTE, NIDOTTE, ZEB, Mounce Dictionary and Zondervan Atlas they are excellent resources! 

Are these resources included in any library packages or whatever? The seem like great prices but sometimes they still cheaper in libraries. I do not see any mentioned on the right side of the description.

This is a great sale! I almost picked up the new NIDNTTE last week at full price to go along with the old version. However, I am tired of paying full price for Zondervan resources and having them go on sale shortly thereafter. Glad I waited!

I only wish FL still sold the NIDNTT Abridged version. I also wish Mounce's "Interlinear for the Rest of Us" was available.

Erik, if you have the NIDNTTE early version on Logos, would you mind picking a word/article to compare the two?  A few of us would be interested.  Thanks!

I would be happy to when I get home tonight; I'm heading out with the wife on a much needed date before our sixth child arrives sometime in the next few weeks. [:D]  Any specific article you have in mind?

I got ZEB, but found it not too hot, already having ISBE, AYBD etc.  Occasionally an article is good, or clearly written, but not really helpful if you have the other ones.  I think I got it more for the image files . . . that said, it is better than the old Zondervan Pictorial.

I have ISBE, AYBD and the IVP NT dictionaries as well as my Catholic Bible Encyclopedia. I am wondering if I will gain anything from the ZEB over what I already have. Would it be better to invest the $89 for two of the IVP OT dictionaries? I am planning to pickup up the Zondervan atlas, Mounce dictionary, and New International Dictionary of Old Testament Theology and Exegesis.

Any advice?
