Confusion is not the word to describe this

I'm leaning towards the FFS which yesterday was 280.00 Canadian price. Today, clicking on Logos, it's well over 400.00 Canadian dollars.

I click on Bronze now to find that Logos 7 Bronze Library is now priced at 180.00, and when I log in, it's now 159.97. I'll attach a screen shot. When I log in on another tab, man, the price for Bronze is back to 356.26 Canadian. I'll attach another screen shot for this one.

I figure I must be missing something including brain cells, so I go the Chat Now and that's a total waste of time. I leave a message and they never got back to me (and one message left last week and still no reply to that) and figured, well, why not call them. If one enjoys "easy listening music" while staring into the wall, that's an ok thing to do. Otherwise, I figure ... why not post again and someone can show me what I'm misunderstanding or understanding. Surely the 159.00 price must be something one buys in addition to paying extra for Logos 7 whatever!!! Before I go right over the edge, can someone tell me what's going on with this!???!   :-]

The small price is your price for the Bronze Library, the larger price is your price for the Bronze Base Package (Library plus FFS).

Very good. Please be patient. Does the Bronze Base Package include all (100%) of the Logos 7 working tools?

You cut the image off at a point that makes it difficult to read. Here is where it says whether it is the full set or not. It also should show the price and type of the feature set as a separate line item in the order page. What you show on the order page is library only without the feature set.

Ok, I'm going to edit (cut out what I previously wrote here) because I think I just began to smell coffee. Whether I'm following the rule to "wake up and smell the coffee" might be another thing but I am beginning to sniff the stuff.

This particular page helped me out ... https://www.logos.com/faq

Sorry, but I just hadn't come across this before. This is clearing up the confusion on my part. If I could remove this thread, I would. Thanks for the input.

seems like Biblesoft all over again to me.
I just spent over 200.00 bucks for basically- nothing.
I have spent a great deal of money with Logos over the years, now, if I want to use it properly, I have to rent the tools I was told i was paying for.

    My fault- I'm an idiot.

Good job you won't be out of pocket for more that the cost of a phone call then.

I have to rent the tools I was told i was paying for.

None of the tools you have reason to believe that you paid for prior to your recent upgrade will be lost - nothing is taken away.
The only things you might pay for you have decided that you don't want and won't use so don't pay for them - that would be a mistake.

    thanks.
So basically: Either rent new tools or stay with 6 until its obsoleted ( couple years at least I would think) ?

I didn't get anything with 7 ( so far) - tech support may fix that If I dont get refund- it looks like most of the tools i had already.

    Thanks

Best thing to do is stick with your Logos Now subscrition if you have that- I was tempted to buy an upgrade to either Diamond or Plat- but furhter review of resources was not very tempting- stick with LN.

Greetings Charles. Did you actually get LN or was it the Full Feature Set? I didn't take it that you got LN from what you posted.

Mike, can you please rewrite that second paragraph again that you wrote to Charles? I'm not making much sense of it. Thanks.

No. More accurately (as I understand it)

'So basically: Either rent new tools (which you say you don't want and won't use - so that would be a little silly) or stay with 6 until the free engine for 7 becomes available (probably in February) and then upgrade to 7 keep that for a couple of years and then repeat the process with 8.'

All the tools that were purchased with 6 and perviously are a fixed feature of the software - Faithlife will not take these away.

Charles had decided that none of the new tools, or the tools included with previous versions of Logos Now, are of interest or use to him so it seems counter intuitive for him to pay for them whether by renting or by purchase.

I conclude that 6 does all he requires and all that he needs to do is to upgrade the engine to 7 when it becomes available probably in February. At that time his version number will increment but very little else will change.

Thanks for the clarification Mike. What you're saying makes good sense.
