Does anyone know the actual size of the download for FFS? Is it MB or GB?

I had the impression LN by itself was about a 20 GB download. So everything together was 2.3 GB? I've got to say that is surprising.

I would be surprised if the numbers are that large - but it will vary depending on the number of resources you have

https://www.logos.com/FAQ#Logos7 has information about the sizes of the various base packages - and says

    Approximate Resource Download Size Per–Package:

    • Starter 5.99 GB
    • Bronze 7.89 GB
    • Silver 8.71 GB
    • Gold 9.98 GB
    • Platinum 11.41 GB
    • Diamond 13.29 GB
    • Portfolio 14.79 GB
    • Collector’s Edition 20.09 GB

Note: Logos 7 will require more space than listed above if you own additional resources or collections. Actual download sizes will vary by user. These approximations do not include the size of the actual application files or the index.

I estimate that the Full Feature Set is about 6Gb.

Looking in my resources folder, I have 193 files that are datasets, interactives, interlinears etc., totalling 5.33Gb. Nearly all of those will be included in the Full Feature Set. The FFS also includes a few Bibles (negligible in size), and media resources (about 500Mb).

If you're coming from Logos 6 (as Sascha was, I think), or even Logos 4 or 5, then the download will be much smaller because you'll already own a large percentage.

Graham, you seem to always come through with the right answers brother. I don't know what we would do in these formud without you and Mark. You two, among other MVPs, are invaluable resources to the rest of us. Thank you so much for  not only all of the insight you all bring to the table, but the expediency with which you do it.

could you share how you made this determination? What directory are you looking at? And how do you tail, inside that directory, what is a data set, an interactive, and interlinear, etc.?  I'd like to see what my set up looks like.

On Windows the folder is %localappdata%\Logos\Data\{random}\ResourceManager\Resources

Go to details view, and sort by type. Ignore the LOGOS4, LBXLLS and LBSPBB files. Everything else is datasets, reverse interlinears, etc. You can probably guess from the file type exactly what each one is, or use Help/About if you're stuck.

The size of the Logos.exe plus the contents of the Logos System directory (which contains all the .dll files) is about 300 MB total.

The software is about 300 MB. The "core engine" woud include some necessary resources (incl. datasets), and would be less than 1 GB.

30 GB would include your indexed resources and all your documents.
