Does anyone know the answer to this? (Logos is now closed)
When purchasing an upgrade on the Logos website, is there a way to apply the student/seminarian discount on top of the personalized upgrade price?
Thanks,
Peter

As far as I know the student/seminarian discount must be done through contacting the sales department directly. They are not available through the website.
If your institution is a participant in the Logos Academic Discount Program then they should be able to provide you a link where you can purchase online. If not, then Richard is correct, you'll have to speak to a sales person.
The academic deals are independent from the non-academic sales/promotions. So my understanding is that there will be no difference for you if you upgrade today or next month via academic sales. The deal ending tomorrow is for the general public
I could be wrong here, but that is my understanding based on experience regarding how Academic Sales works.
I could be wrong but I don't think you can stack the discounts.
I coordinate the Academic Sales through my educational institution. I have a web page designed for our students to make their discounted purchases. The expiration date on that page is December 31, 2010.
However, it is only good for students who are purchasing Logos 4 for the first time. Students who had previously purchased Logos 3 and want to go to Logos 4 need to contact Logos Academic Sales to calculate their price. Though the general sales discounts are going away today, my understanding is that the Academic sales continue.
I have a faculty colleague that contacted me yesterday (after Logos closed for the weekend), wanting to know what to do to upgrade/crossgrade to Logos 4. I told him to call Academic Sales on Monday.

This was one of those times that you could use your academic and the other discount together. It is rare that they let us combined the two, but this was one of those occasions. I herd that from Phil- academic sales.
Most of the time we cannot combined the two e.g the 12 days of logos.
It's a little complicated since I understand the academic discount is calculated based on each person's specific circumstance and also has other implications. In my case, it would only save me a few dollars moving from Silver to Platinum and i would not be allowed to resell/transfer the products I had purchased post Silver acquisition to help offset the upgrade price since my personal discount takes the current contents of my library into consideration.
I want to sell the products i bought which are now part of the upgrade to recoup some of the upgrade cost and so looking at the cost/benefit, i decided not to take advantage of the academic discount so my upgrade isn't tainted and i can still sell my cd's.
BTW, I am very very happy with the new Logos 4. I'm just starting to test drive it, but i love what i see so far.
