Problem with some books using Offline
HI there
I am using version 4.5.6 on an iPhone 6S. I have downloaded a number of resources for offline use and am having a problem with some of them. For example I have the IVP historical books downloaded:
Upon opening the book the title shows correctly however no content loads, as shown below...
If I try to access the table of contents I am unable to do so, as it just remains loading...
Can anyone help me to browse my books off line please?
thanks
Paul

I've just tried this wth the IVP book ando it worked fine.
I suggest you "remove" it and "download" it again - when online - and see it that works any better

Thanks for the advice. When the problem first manifested itself I uninstalled the whole app and redownloaded everything and the problem still persists. I will try redownloading the book too.

I am currently watching (American) football over the internet and don't want to use any bandwidth on my limited internet to download large resources... but I am seeing this with my copies of the ESVSB, NIVZSB and the BKC... all of which are larger resources. I have experienced this in the past and a reinstall of the app fixed it. I don't know if "rebuild index" would have any effect, but will try.

I have now tried redownloading several smaller resources and the trick has appeared to work. My guess as to why Paul's redownloading of the app didn't work is that the resources didn't have a chance to fully download again. Did you manually redownload them, or was it automatic?

It was automatic IIRC. I have now repeated it manually and it works. However I have about 150 books offline and don't know which work and which don't!

This comment isn't directed at you, but I have an ongoing exhortation to be judicious in the number of resources downloaded... This is a perfect example of why. On my iPad I often have about that much, but some users want to download hundreds (or thousands). It was automatic IIRC. I have now repeated it manually and it works. Understand. Clearly there is an issue here that others are experiencing which is that some offline books don't work until manually removed and redownloaded.
