Backsliding or continually sinning

Curious..how can one use 7.0 to create a short talk about what the Bible says about backsliding or how to prevent from doing it?
Was visiting with several from my church at a drug and alcohol treatment center today and overhead a resident asking a Pastor about -
"What do we do if we continue to sin" or "...if it didn't take" when referring to being born again, etc.
Anyone use specific sections of The Bible in such a milieu or make use of Logos effectively to do so recently?
What passages have you used and how did you make use of Logos in your preaching or speaking?
My Pastor made effective use of Prodigal Son within Luke stressing that God wants the best for us and how much He loves us all.
I am curious what, if any, Bible and Logos 7.0 focused items you would make use of at a rehab for those who may be broken and/or spiraling downward or fear relapse once released.
Please be specific if you can and point to Logos resources and searches...thanks.

I would start with passage guides on 1 John 2:19 and 3:9. Most commentaries will spend time qualifying these. I don't know of any passages that deal with backsliding as it is commonly imagined, but a passage guide on Hebrews 12:1 would probably also be helpful.

7.0 Bible Search finds many verses:
lukewarm OR "truth in love" OR (blot NEAR out NEAR life) OR ((Adonai,Father,Lord,Yahweh) WITHIN 12 WORDS (forgive, sin)) OR (create NEAR clean)
Passage Guide for Revelation 3:14-22 could be insightful, especially lukewarm (plus knocking on the door by the Great Healer).
Article Search (of Heading Text, Large Text, Title) for:
backslide,apostasy
may find many articles. Another article search idea is idols (looking for items humans choose over loving God).

I use "Quick Scripture Reference" by John Kruis but imaging the other resources in this collection are also excellent. Apparently Logos isn't selling the book as a stand alone resource.

What a blessing you all have been...I knew you would be. Really great ideas and suggestions.
Thanks. I pray others will have benefited as well (or those we minister to will in the future).
Christ within Logos to the rescue - yay!
