Question on purchasing

Hello, I am totally new to "shopping" for Logos software. I am 100% sure this has been asked and answered many times but I do not see this discussion on this board, perhaps someone could please point me to the right place?
I started looking at purchasing Logos 7 Platinum as I am beginning as a graduate student at Liberty (my BA is in Business, not Divinity). I LOVE digging into the historical context of Bible stories, especially comparing the local culture and world events to the modern day English interpretation of the Word.
QUESTIONS
So, there is Logos Now and Logos Web and desktop software, if I get Logos Web it seems I would get the same features as Logos 7 Platinum. Or, for the hefty price of Logos 7 Platinum, it would seem I would not need anything else for research. Correct?
When do you need more than 1 of these products for research?
Considering my interest and current academic position, what is the most sensible investment, based on what you experienced folks have found so far?
Thank you for your assistance!

Try searching site:community.logos.com for previous discussions. The search box within the forums isn't always accurate.

You might want to explore the Academic Discount Programme, although I'm not sure if it's limited to those studyingt/teaching theology. Worth asking though, as you could save BIG on a base package!

Do you mean Logos Cloud? This is a subscription based library with features, and is a good way to explore Logos before investing heavily in a base package like Platinum.

You should realise that there is a difference between 'resources' (or books) and 'features' because Logos 7 base packages like Platinum only include resources. You need to purchase a "Feature Set" to get features or subscribe to Logos Now; which gives you the "Logos 7 Full Feature Set" + new features and other member-only advantages. Logos Cloud (not Web) combines resources and features. All of these are desktop software, but Logos Now and Cloud also give access to a web application (limited features).
Logos Now is the best way to get features and you get a discount on library purchases like Logos 7 Bronze/Gold/Platinum.
Logos Cloud gives you a free month access to resources and features, so its Premium service would be the best introduction for you.

It sounds like Logos Cloud is the way to go then. It looks like there is no student pricing for this but $50 a month for the duration of these next few classes seems reasonable!
