Corresponding Notes and Highlights
Is there any way to make the corresponding notes and highlights work on the Ipad? Works great on the desktop, but was surprised the highlights and notes didn't show up on Ipad. Thanks

Hi Lloyd - and welcome to the forums
Sorry - but corresponding notes and highlights is not currently supported on the mobile apps.
I don't know if there are plans to incorporate this

Thanks for the quick reply, Graham!
So just so I understand how it all functions, when a corresponding note or highlight is shown on the desktop, it doesnt save a note file to the resource, but instead only saves it to the original resource?
In other words, if I save a note or highlight in the NIV, although I can see it in the ESV on the desktop, the note is actually only saved to the NIV?
Anybody know of a work around, where highlights and notes made in one version can be seen in other versions? Even if they need to be made or modified on the desktop, that would at least be better than having to manually go to other versions and recreate work!
Disappointed this feature doesn't at least show results in the mobile app. It's one of the main reasons I upgraded to the 7 feature set.

Technically the note / highlight is saved in a Notes document but tied to a particular version
On the desktop the visual filter dynamically applies it to other versions using reverse-interlinear functionality
And I'm afraid you can't currently apply this visual filter on the mobile apps - and I don't know of any workround

Thanks again, Graham. Hopefully this will be something addressed in future releases!

Thanks, Kevin! So I should take my existing highlights and make each of those notes? I will do that and see what happens. Thanks again!

While creating notes by reference will cause them to appear in all versified resources they won't show as highlights. They will just be denoted by notes icons.
So if having actual highlights are important to you this approach won't give you that.
