Does Highlighting on iOS behave the same as Desktop?

Specifically, should the highlighting palette that is set save in a Resource-Specific note file on Desktop behave the same way in iOS?

I have a Reading Highlights palette in L7 that saves highlights in a Resource-Specific note file. When I was reading something last night I used the palette, but noticed that it did not create a new Resource Specific note file, but instead saved to a new Reading Highlights note file!

I guess if I wanted a Resource-Specific file I should first create it in L7 and then read and highlight on iOS.

But I wasn't sure if this was expected, intended behaviour. And if so, wondered if this might be something that could be introduced.

The principle is (nearly) the same but it works slightly differently.

On the desktop you can set highlight destinations at the palette level, on the mobile apps it is done at the app level - there is an option for this in Tools -> Settings.

So if you have the iPad app set to use resource-specific note document (as I do) then you should get the effect you are looking for
