REVELATION - H.A. Ironside - Needs updating from 1919 to 1930 Edition
REVELATION - H.A. Ironside - Needs updating from 1919 to 1930 Edition
Logos has the 1919 Edition of H. A. IRONSIDE'S LECTURES ON REVELATION, but in 1930 H. A. IRONSIDE update the Lectures himself.
The 1930 Edition is superior to the 1919 Edition. There is so much more information in it. I have the HARDBACK COPY, and have attached a screenshot of the PREFACE TO THE 1930 Edition. Also, the 1930 Edition has ENDNOTES which the 1919 Edition does not have.

It is also under copyright ...
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I might be mistaken, but only the 1919 edition should be in the public domain, with the 1930 issue still be copyrighted until 2025.

I love H. A. IRONSIDE'S biblical teachings, and am very thankful and grateful that they are in LOGOS. I would rather have them here than anywhere else.
Am sure LOGOS could strike a deal with the copyright holder to get the 1930 Edition of REVELATION......2025 is a long time to wait for the 1930 Edition.

It seems that all of H. A IRONSIDE'S COMMENTARIES need updating. The HARDBACK COPIES that I have all have END-NOTES at the back of every one of them. The ones in LOGOS do not.

- I'll pass along your suggestion to make the 1930 edition available for pre-pub or community pricing. I don't know which it would be. It would depend on its copyright status.
- Concerning endnotes: it appears you own a later edition of the entire commentary set than what we produced. The earlier version did not have end notes.
- Since points #1 and #2 involve entirely new editions we would need to create editions rather than update the old editions. Creating new resources would require them going through the pre-pub or community pricing.
- Just to re-iterate, I'll pass along your suggestion to post the later editions of Ironside's commentaries on pre-pub/community pricing.

Kenute, What are your thoughts on the Ironside Revelation book you referenced? I remember you liking Thomas' Exegetical Revelation so would this be in the same theology and context?

Thank you Kyle G. Anderson It is much appreciated.
I can tell by the book covers that LOGOS has the Older Editions. Yes, I do have the Later Editions, and they are so much better, and have so much more information in them.
Let me take this time to say to you Kyle that I think you are doing a wonderful job at LOGOS. I know that it is not an easy task dealing with quite a lot of views, glitches, and things that need to be corrected. Just wanted to let that you know that you are doing a #1 job at LOGOS.

Yes Mattillo
H. A. IRONSIDE'S REVELATION is in the same theology and context as ROBERT L. THOMAS.
I love all of IRONSIDE'S commentaries. They are so clear and plain even a child can understand them.
