Courses Tool "outage"
All my available courses just dropped to 0. No filtering used. (I think I had over 100 course offerings, many of which I owned all the required resources for.)
I still show 2 started, 1 completed, but no available courses.
Since there was no application update, I assume this issue is due to something on the server side, which affects what Course Tool uses for its list of offerings?
Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

Like Graham I am not see an issue either with the courses tool either. I really don't know whether it requires server access every time you use it to validate what courses are made available to you but maybe in the mean time prepare some logs and upload just in case one of the those who can assist you with this issue asks for them. Of course there is the other standard help desk solution of rebooting your computer - just in case it fixes the problem.

We are investigating the issue. Sorry for the disruption to your work. Until we have this fixed, if it happens again try executing the "Update resources" command in the command bar, which will try to download the plans again. You will need to reopen the Courses Tool to refresh the list of available courses. I don't think the UI gives any indication when it has finished, so if you still don't see any available plans you might need to either try closing and reopening the Courses Tool again or repeat the whole "Update resources" procedure.
Once you have started a course it should always be there, this problem should only affect your ability to start new plans.

I have the same issue.
I am on a Mac, running 10.12 Sierra and Logos 7.1 RC 1.

Rebooted. Still 0 available.
Quit Logos. Enabled Logging. Launched Logos. Available courses show up properly.
Quit Logos. Disabled Logging. Launched Logos. Available courses back to 0.
Closed Courses tool. Executed "Update Resources." Opened Courses pane. Available courses show up properly.
Quit Logos. Launched Logos. Available courses back to 0.
"Update Resources" appears to fix things temporarily, but not permanently. I apparently can't reproduce the issue when logging is enabled.
Is this something on your side that I should just wait out for now?

I'm not seeing this
Can you post a screenshot?
Graham, I noticed in your screen capture that you also have AP101 Introducing Apologetics. When I opened my "courses tool" just now, it was listed in my list also. The problem is, AP101 will not even ship until 10/11 and it isn't listed in any of the base packages. I'm wondering if it might be one of the LN "freebies" for October.

We are investigating the issue.
We found the cause of the issue. The fix will ship with 7.1 (beta users will see the fix in RC3.) Sorry again for the inconvenience.

Thanks! Nice work identifying the issue so quickly!

Bill,
As I understand, all (267?) courses initially did appear on the courses list, but Logos changed it to automatically filter out ones which are missing their content.
I think this is probably an unrelated issue on the server side, as I have had seven courses appearing which don't have any course content. AP101, CO107, CO108, CS121, MI251, MI252, MI301. They've been there for a while. I think those particular courses fell through some sort of crack, and really aren't meant to appear.
In the future, Logos will provide an option to show courses which are missing some/key content, to give us the option to acquire the necessary resources.

I am aware that in the early days of L7 that the "course tool" made it look like EVERYTHING was available to study. However, what I was talking about, in Graham's screenshot, was the Course AP101 hasn't even shipped yet, so why would it even be showing up as a course to study. No harm, No foul...just an observation! [:D]

Sorry Bill - I missed this earlier
But I'm afraid I don't have any explanation of why it is there.
It's not that it's available for free (under any of the various schemes) as the main resources are shown as locked
It's probable that the process of releasing the plans to the Courses Tool isn't fully synced with the process of making the underlying resources available.

We just fixed it so the next time your app downloads templates you shouldn't see the one that isn't released yet. Thanks for letting us know.

Thanks Lawrence and Graham. I was actually hoping that it might have been the Logos Now release for October [:D]. But I am glad to know that Faithlife/Logos is "constantly" working to improve our program.

This has been fixed in 7.1 RC 3, and will be available to users on the stable version on Monday.
