Unable to read Bible if not connected to internet
I had thought that if I downloaded a Bible, that I could access it even when not connected to the internet. At least that is the way the app used to work.
I have a new iphone 7 plus and loaded Logos on it, however, I can no longer access any of the downloaded materials on the Logos app when I am not connected with the internet. I am not trying to do a search. I am simply trying to read a passage.
Is this a bug or some other issue?
Thanks!

I have a new iphone 7 plus and loaded Logos on it,
How did you load Logos on your new phone - was it from an iTunes backup? If so, downloaded resources are not included in iTunes backups and so you'll have to download them again.

I experienced this problem recently, too. In this situation, is there any way that the app can *not* show these resources as downloaded? If you have internet access, it acts almost exactly like they really are downloaded - as the app reports. But when you don't have the access, all these problems show up. So the fact that resources in this state indicate that they are downloaded (in the "Info" screen) when they really aren't is the biggest problem.
Thanks,
Donnie

By saying "all these problems" do you mean the single problem of the app implying that resources are downloaded when they are not (after restoring an iTunes backup to a new device)?
We recommend a fresh install of the app after purchasing a new device but I will write up a case for this issue.

That appears to have been the problem.
I wish i had known about this in advance because I was in a spot with no internet or cell connection for the weekend and so had no ability to delete and reinstall the bibles (that the Logos app was telling me were loaded).
I consider this a bug given that the app was telling me something that was simply not true. I had used the app on my new iPhone 7 for a week with no issues (the app told me the various books were there but I didn't clue in because I was in either cell or wifi range). The app didn't know that the books weren't there so I didn't know I had to reload them.

Yes, it's a bug and as I mentioned there's already a case. When purchasing a new device it's always best to perform a fresh install of our apps.

By "all these problems," I meant all of the symptoms that a user can experience which seem to arise from the (apparently) single root cause.
In terms of a fresh install, will that automatically either correctly mark all "downloaded" resources as not downloaded or fully download those resources which were supposed to have actually been downloaded? While not ideal, I can understand the recommendation. But a further challenge with that is the difficulty in managing devices in the desktop app. As another (recent, I believe) thread has pointed out, it's idiomatic at this point to end up with numerous copies of the same device with no indication (that I'm aware of) as to which instance actually represents the current device.

A fresh install of the Bible app on a new device will not download (or show as downloaded) anything except the bundled LEB. Each device/install combination is unique as many customers use multiple devices with the same account.

Until today I was not aware that every update of the iOS apps added a new device to the mobile management list even though the device is the same one. Thanks for pointing this out, I've written up a case. In the meantime, the bottom device in the list is the most recent one.

Sorry about not catching that. I essentially checked out of that thread since the issue was solved for the OP and for you as well (or so I thought in my last post at https://community.logos.com/forums/p/131532/856045.aspx#856045).
In the future please create a new thread for issues that are different than the subject of the original post. The time available for me to spend on the forums is decreasing and it really helps to have one issue per post.
