I have not yet seen the new L7 stuff

I now HAVE seen the new L7 videos. They are the same excellent quality as the older stuff (most all of which is still on target).

I expect he may post a few more since there are quite a few new datasets and features.

Still a great deal for some very solid Logos training.

(And no, I'm not getting anything from Danny for advertising or promoting these. I paid for the course, straight up. I simply like to pass on good things when I see them.)

You can access the courses via mobile apps and you can download the course content for offline usage on you mobile device.

No it is the same course. In the original post they were offering $15 off coupon. I believe that I recently saw it for only $11 in a Facebook advertisement. That is the lowest price I have seen.

In any event, that's a rather minor difference and you can't beat the price Danny is offering for the course with the coupon. I opted to give it a whirl and have started going through it. [:)]

The course is identical on both Udemy and my own platform. I am trying to drive new users to my own platform rather than Udemy, as I already keep my cost very low and Udemy takes a large chunk. But I am and will continue to publish on both.

I think I caught everything from Logos 7, but if there are some new features or datasets I missed do let me know via email.

Thanks Yasmin -- I stand corrected. The Udemy version indicates it has a little additional "lecture" material of some sort, but it didn't concern me enough to identify what it is. And per Danny's own post, the course itself is identical so whatever the differences are they don't involve actual course content. The purpose of my original question was only to determine if there was reason to consider the course from the Udemy link over the other one. I do like the screen layout/format of the course better on the Udemy web site in that you can start a lecture in full screen video mode and go directly from one lecture to the next in full screen mode. On Danny's site, I don't see any way to do that--the lectures always start in a partial screen window, then I have to change it to full screen, pause it, and restart it at the beginning. But again, I've started on the one from Danny's own site, I appreciate the coupon he provided for it, and would recommend it to others. [:)]

Edit: I did find a way to mitigate the lack of full screen transitions from one lecture to another, by going into the course setting and turning Autoplay "off" and turning Autocomplete "on". With these settings, when a lecture finishes, it automatically exits the full screen lecture just viewed, goes back to the main course menu, and selects the next lecture but does not start it. This allows me to change the lecture video to full screen mode before it starts, then manually start the lecture. Not as convenient as if it just stayed in full screen mode, but better than the way it was working before.

Danny, just in case you're still following this topic, a quick comment/suggestion. I tried leaving it on the course website but didn't see how to do that without logging in to an account on Facebook, Twitter, etc.. Here's the comment I tried to leave there.

Hi, Danny! Thanks for the great course--am enjoying it. One suggestion though regarding L7 (and possibly L6) related content has to do with the fact that some features (e.g. the Discourse feature and the Bible Browser) are only available to L7 users who "also" have purchased Logos Now. In the course, one of the lectures covers both Propositional Outlines and the Discourse Feature, and presents both as L7 features. Technically, that's correct, but... what isn't explained in the course is that the Discourse Feature is only available to L7 purchasers who have also purchased Logos Now. This has also been a point of confusion on the Logos Forums and in Faithlife's marketing of L7 as they were presenting features as being "L7" features without pointing out that some of them also required the purchase of Logos Now. They are in the process of correcting that but it's been a point of confusion and frustration for L7 purchasers.

Edit: OK, it looks like my comment did take on the course website after selecting a Facebook account to log in with. I don't understand though why a secondary login (e.g. with Facebook) is needed to leave a comment, when a "course specific" login is first needed to access the course material. But then, maybe it's not an issue with the web site itself--maybe it's a problem with the old geezer using the web site. [*-)]

Regarding the "Edit" paragraph at the end of the quoted post above, it turns out the settings a person chooses are not remembered by the website when you exit the course, so if you don't like the default settings, you'll have to change them back to what you want every time you go back to the course. [:(]
