Best Hebrew New Testament for Evangelicals

What is the best Hebrew New Testament translation for Evangelicals?
I want a solid translation to offer Jewish friends who want to read the NT

While they may have a certain familiarity with Hebrew, most Jews I know know English better than Hebrew. Why not just offer a copy of the NIV or whatever?

That is a fair question and here is why I ask the question: I am working with a Jewish girl who is living with us for a while. She prefers her Hebrew Tanakh and finds the English translations awkward for her. The "imperfections" of translation trouble her. As a result she does not trust the English translations of the New Testament. I am not sure why a translation from Greek to Hebrew would seem better, but to her it would make a difference. Maybe this is a rare situation, but thought it was worth asking. If it is true in one case, I imagine it might be true for a lot of young Jewish people.

Interesting problem. Quite a bit of the NT works off the LXX. So, for example the Logos hebrew NT resource, instead uses the MT for OT quotes (selection of specific words). Which garbles up the author's teaching, for what you have in mind. Of course, that's exactly what she'd want, I assume.

Hi Gao Lu,
The Bible Society in Israel's HNT is good from what I've read thus far. However, as Denise suggested, it's good to be aware that the translators draw OT quotations straight out of the Masoretic/Rabbinic text. This can occasionally obscure translational, interpretative, and textual issues (e.g., in the case of a NT author paraphrasing, alluding to, or, perhaps even, compressing one or more OT texts or themes). So long as you understand the translation's approach and limitations, it's a nice resource to have! As a bonus, check out this post for links to the HNT and its free audio counterpart (including the Hebrew OT as well).

Logos offers => Complete Jewish Bible (CJB) (with Old Covenant in Tanakh order); recommend reading introduction
and => Hebrew New Testament (HNT)
