Yet another: L4 not starting

It seemed to run fine until this week. Now, the splash screen goes away in about 0.1 seconds and nothing happens. (Therefore, holding ctrl doesn't do anything.) I try an install and it states that it's all up to date.

I tried a repair install with Logos4.msi, but it says I need to be an admin in order to write the file NAudio.dll to the folder it goes into. Naturally, I AM an admin.

Any ideas?

Have you downloaded an update recently? Are you using 4.0a SR-3? Can you post your computer specs? It may work to right-click and choose run as administrator, it worked for someone else recently (forgot exactly where in the forums)

Well, it seems to think it's got the latest version. But I even restored to an earlier version just to force the Logos4Setup.exe to run. But even without Logos4.exe on my hard drive (yes, I even renamed it), when I try to run the setup, it says it's all up to date. And, as I mentioned before, running as admin does not help.

Lew, try this

Enable hidden files and folders in Explorer's "Folder Options".

Go to \Logos4\Data\{random}\UpdateManager\Installers\ and delete all
sub-folders and files.

EDIT: Go to \Logos4\Data\{random}\UpdateManager\ and delete Updates.db

Go to \Logos4\Install\Installers\ and rename Logos4.msi.

Setup permanent diagnostic logging via http://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging

Install via http://downloads.logos.com/LBS4/LDLS4Installer/Logos4Setup.exe

If not successful upload your Logos4.log as per Uploading Logs

Mystery of mysteries, it worked today. I have no idea why. I didn't do anything differently. I didn't even reboot today whereas I did yesterday.

But I appreciate the help!
