Canot Install Logos November Free Book
Hello,
I ordered the November free book and the $.99 book several hours ago. I can see they download (on Vryso) but will not install. I get a message that I do not have a "license" for these products. This is the first time this has happened.
Thanks for your help

Welcome! Sorry you are having troubles. [:s]
For clarification: Is this a mobile app question? Which platform? This thread may be moved to the appropriate (platform specific) forum so that you can get the best help.
I can see they download (on Vryso) but will not install.
I am unsure what you mean here... Resources don't "install." They are either available on mobile or not.
I get a message that I do not have a "license" for these products.
This happens when you click on the resource in the library?

I believe this to be the correct forum
These are products we have bought - which haven't downloaded.
They are in my order history - but don't download - period!
Simple as that

Simple as that
Do you want to gripe, or to get help? If the latter, please create a new thread in the appropriate forum. The original post is about mobile... you are talking about desktop. The original post is quite confusing, but it doesn't appear to be the same issue you are having. [;)]

A tad aggressive perhaps?
Kevin, have you checked https://www.logos.com/support/logos5/missing-resources
The two missing books were hidden. I don't think I hid them before because if I had, I assume that Logos would not have charged me for them, and they did. So something strange here even if I got my books in the end.

To clarify, I can see the two books in the library. When I click on the download button, I see the download progress, then the install stops. I get a message that I don't have a license for these products. I am using vyrso on a KIndle Fire 5. Thanks

I believe this to be the correct forum
Whilst General may be the correct forum for discussions about books, it is not a forum for technical/software problems. Desktop App issues (Windows/Mac) are handled in the appropriate Logos forum e.g. Logos 6, Logos 7. Mobile App problems are handled in the Android, iPhone/iPad and Windows Store forums. You will usually have to supply logs to aid in diagnosis, and you will be more likely to receive timely advice from Faithlife personnel or Forum MVP's.
It is not a good idea to post a problem in another user's thread because it appears to be the same as yours. This thread should establish the point that it is better to start a new thread in the appropriate forum.

A tad aggressive perhaps?
I don't think so. He was snarky with Dave, who was just trying to help. I was being "matter of fact." If he wants help, he should create a new thread in the appropriate forum. I'm not trying to be rude, but helpful. It is "Simple as that."

What version of Vyrso are you running? The current version is 5.7.2.

Okay point taken - as this thread has developed it does look more like a slightly different issue (with the same symptom)

I have experienced Alabama's aggressiveness first hand, I am not surprised by his attitude in this response, but it is still very disappointing he chose to respond to a fellow customer who was frustrsted because he felt he wasn't getting the help required but instead MVP's who appear to be more interested in being sticklers for rules the OP may or may not understand.

Alabama MVP's need to stop being so judgemental - they way some of you respond only extends the frustration already felt by already frustrated customers less in the know than you are about the software - hence why they are posting in the first place. If you can't look past that frustration to get to the real problem and instead feel the need to label customers as snarky then maybe you should stop helping out on the forums because you are showing a lack of patience and grace that custome service requires in this situations. Nobody is forcing any MVP to volunteer or non- MVP to help out on the forums. This is just another example of an MVP violating forum guidelines and you will be allowed to get away with it again.

Okay point taken
I apologize for being snarky back at you. I read your reply to Dave as being snarky and was defending him. I wasn't trying to be snarky myself, but I see that I was.
For fuller context... It is our desire to make sure each forum member gets the best help possible. Part of this includes:
- Creating a new thread for each user needing help. There are times where it is appropriate to join in on a thread, but not when someone is asking for help. When someone is having an issue, they deserve personalized assistance. That includes you!
- It is vital that threads get posted in the right forum so that the right users and FL employees see the thread!
- Similar "symptoms" don't always mean the "same problem." Frequently they don't!
Dave's desire in the forums, and mine as well, is to make sure you get the help you need.
