Re-download after Uninstall Causes Problems With Previously Downloaded Books

I have a Google Pixel XL running Android Nougat 7.1. I just uninstalled and reinstalled the Logos Bible app trying to see if a problem I'm having on another device with signing in was happening on the phone app too. That's not an issue on this device. I'll post elsewhere about that.

When I uninstalled, first I went into the Apps menu in settings and force stopped the app, cleared the cache and also cleared data. Then I uninstalled the app.

I reinstalled the app and it shows that some of my books that I had previously downloaded before on the phone as downloaded after reinstalling, even though I cleared things as per above and didn't re-download them after reinstalling. I've seen this before. I just removed the books and downloaded them again. I don't download a lot of books on my phone so it doesn't take that long. However, the app automatically installs the Lexham English Bible and so its shows as downloaded and can't be removed and then redownloaded, so I can't use the book on my device.

Any thoughts?
