Re-download after Uninstall Causes Problems With Previously Downloaded Books
I have a Google Pixel XL running Android Nougat 7.1. I just uninstalled and reinstalled the Logos Bible app trying to see if a problem I'm having on another device with signing in was happening on the phone app too. That's not an issue on this device. I'll post elsewhere about that.
When I uninstalled, first I went into the Apps menu in settings and force stopped the app, cleared the cache and also cleared data. Then I uninstalled the app.
I reinstalled the app and it shows that some of my books that I had previously downloaded before on the phone as downloaded after reinstalling, even though I cleared things as per above and didn't re-download them after reinstalling. I've seen this before. I just removed the books and downloaded them again. I don't download a lot of books on my phone so it doesn't take that long. However, the app automatically installs the Lexham English Bible and so its shows as downloaded and can't be removed and then redownloaded, so I can't use the book on my device.
Any thoughts?

This is definitely a problem, I'll write up a case. As a workaround, tap on the LEB's info button then tap the Update button.

This is not the recommended way to uninstall our apps. Force stopping the app and then clearing the data is what is causing the LEB issue you've mentioned above. Please uninstall our apps the normal way by long-pressing on the app icon and then dragging it to the Uninstall menu - or, go into Settings as you've described and Uninstall the app (without force stopping or clearing the data).

I only did that after it failed to work the other way. This was on a brand new phone.
Also there is no button to Update. Only a grayed out REMOVE button.

Was there any indication that a new version of the LEB was available on the Home page?

No there isn't. I just tried to open it and it wouldn't.

Please reproduce the issue again and then immediately send your device logs using Report a Problem under the Help menu. Please reference my name and this thread in the email since our Beta apps are not supported by Customer Service.
