Machines that go Ping ...
According to my iPad ... the FL app should b=used the notifications system ... on the home screen etc.
How can I cause it to ping? When I post (using a test user on a different device) in my group, I cannot see any notification on iPad ... there is just no indication the the FL page is alive!
Should there be some notification? I want to use this instead of the Facebook owned Whatsapp (or Facebook itself) ... but people simply will not check ... messages need pushing ...
Thanks.

I can see FL in the iOS notifications setting (set to everything On!) ... but I still cannot make the phone or Pad go ping. I can post in a discussion and see a notification count at the top of the app itself ... but that is only useful if actually looking at the app!
Could anybody tell me if I can make a device notify me of a post? If not, then it is time to move on ... but if not then why is Faithlife in the iOS notifications sections?
Is this why almost every group that I have found have had no posts for 9+ months?

Mobile push notifications are only triggered by mentions, private mentions, and invitations. We'd like to introduce support for more but are focusing on other improvements at this time. Daily digest emails are the best way to find out what's happening in your Faithlife groups right now.

Thank you Dustin.
That is unfortunate. I will try one other experiment but have to admit that, in my playing, I noticed that most groups I am aware of have had little activity for months, that key areas such as finding groups have not changed, and I could discern little development anywhere. Are there any release notes detailing changes?
I did find one bug ... whilst trying to clear the sidebar I could delete all of the panels ... but then the contact me panel kept coming back. Personally, I do not want my email address on any public page. It might be that I am not allowed to have an empty sidebar ... but it does not say so, it simply puts a widget bak without asking! IMHO None of the supplied widgets are worth the UI clutter that they create. If the actual content could expand into the sidebar area that might be good, but in the absence of that, a clear plain area is favourable (and possibly quicker).
