Why is there a reader's edition option for BHS?
I just purchased Logos 7. I see that the reader's edition seems to only work for interlinears. It's working well on my Lexham Hebrew Interlinear. However, I usually use the BHS/WHM 4.2 and I see that in the "inline interlinear" button above has options for the reader's edition but nothing happens. Is the option a mistake or should the BHS be showing interlinear data?
Either way great feature! this feature was the only reason I upgraded and it's worth it. I with there was a way to compile a word list of all proper nouns. I made a list for Genesis but I had to add them one at a time. Can someone who works there compile this word list and share it?

The Reader's Edition Interlinear option only has the effect of hiding the interlinear lines in places that match your chosen criteria.
The BHS/WHM 4.2 has interlinear data only for showing the Ketiv and Qere written texts. This data is relatively sparse throughout the resource. This makes it technically correct to provide the options to enable the Reader's Edition, but practically speaking, it's probably not overly useful.
To create your word list, do a Morph search for proper nouns and then save the results to a word list using the panel menu.

I compiled the list, but I still can't get it to work.
notice the first word Abidan (top list and verse 11), it's in the word list and I've checked the button for this list.

I figured it out, the search had to populate from the lexham hebrew english morphology not the BHS, however all gentilics are excluded. Do you know a methods to populate a list of all gentilics?

BHS/WHM 4.2 and LHI use two different and incompatible systems for representing lemmas. You can see this by right clicking on the same word in each, selecting the lemma on the right side of the popup, and selecting the Search: all resources option on the left side of the popup.
BHS/WHM 4.2 generates a search like: <Lemma = lls/he/קָדֵשׁ:2.n>
and LHI generates a search like: <Lemma = lbs/he/קָדֵשׁ:2>In order for the reader's edition feature to function correctly, it needs a word list containing lemmas of the correct type for the resource you are using.
The gentilics tagging is a feature distinct to the Westminster Morphology used in BHS/WHM 4.2, and is only available in resources that use that morphology.
Unfortunately, there isn't any automatic mechanism for converting lemmas from one system to another. Short of manually constructing the word list (which seems like an excessive amount of work in this case), I can't think of a way to accomplish what you want.
There may or may not be a way to construct a search for the terms you are looking for in BHI without using the Westminster Morphology, but I don't have the Hebrew knowledge to help with that. You might have better luck posting a new thread specifically asking for help building such a search.

I did a little more checking, and the reader's edition feature is supposed to be automatically converting the lemmas for you, but this is not currently being done. We'll get this fixed up in a future release. Note that automated lemma conversion can result in false positives or false negatives.
One other thing. You mentioned in your initial post that you are using BHS/WHM 4.2. This is actually a very old version of the morphology tagging. You may be interested in the much newer Biblia Hebraica Westmonasteriensis with Westminster Hebrew Morphology 4.18.

I noticed this too after I'd written my post above. As near as I can tell, the tagging of gentilics must have been separate from proper nouns at some point in the far past. I couldn't tell you which resource did things in that fashion, but none of the ones I've checked use it. The separate part of the morphology is left in place to prevent breaking old references.

I noticed this too after I'd written my post above.
It is very hit & miss but I did get results for @ng which appear to be Aramaic
As you see I couldn't generate the short form @np, but it doesn't include gentilic nouns
