I was trying to add a note in my desktop version of the software and it is not adding. I have always been able to add a note on my phone. I am following along with one of your training programs and following steps to add a note to the biblical text. The note pops up now with the greek word and does not let me add my own comments.

Hi Nick - and welcome to the forums

    Sorry you are having problems

Which version of Logos software are you using and on which platform?

The note pops up now with the greek word and does not let me add my own comments.

I don't quite understand what you are saying.

    When does the note "popup"?

It sounds as though you are trying to attach notes to lemmas. Is that correct?

Version 7 on an apple computer. I clicked on the chapter and verse and it seems to have fixed the problem. I believe you are correct it was showing the lemma.

When I highlight a section of scripture then right click so that I can add a note it brings up my note but will not allow me to type my own text. It add a greek word as a note.

It sounds as though you have the Greek lemma (outlined in red below) selected in the right-hand side of the menu instead of the English text or the passage (outlined in blue below)

Ensure you have either the word (or words) you want or the passage selected.

Selecting the word will create a note "by selection" which only displays in that resource

Selecting the passage will create a note "by reference" which is then visible in all resources with Bible milestones (such as Bibles and commentaries)

In the first case you can apply a highlight as well - in the second you can't

    Hope this helps
