Does Logos 7 address these issues?

Just wondering if Logos 7 addresses any of these issues:

1. Is there finally a way to organize your library into folders or something similar? The inability to visually organize the library has always been a challenge.

2. is it finally possible to import ePub or PDF files? The software would be much more useful to me if it could be home to all of my books, not just the ones I buy from Logos.

Thanks.

No. You can organize by the fixed headings; in particular Type, My tags, Series, Author but this is only one level of "folder"

Not directly. You would have to convert them to Microsoft .docx files and build Personal Books which are integrated into your Library.

You can organize books into as many levels as you want with favorites.

You can organize books into as many levels as you want with favorites.

Which is right, and even allows putting books into multiple branches of a tree structure, but is not new to Logos 7

And is very painstaking to do with a large library.... needs to be a better way than what favorites offers...its great for favorites but not for whole library solutions.

    Welcome [:D]

Library can be organized into collections, which includes option of dragging resource from Library into Collection "Plus these resources"

Collections "Plus these resources" and "Minus these resources" cam include OR exclude other collection(s). My Bible Background collection includes four other collections while excluding one collection plus resources matching rule:

    Title:("Bible Atlas",Background,Context,Curiosities,Earlier,Graeco-Roman,Images,"in the Bible",Jewish,Judaism,Manners,Map,Milieu,Mishnah,Talmud,Travel) OR Subject:(Background,Jews,Judaism,Semites) OR Author:Jastrow

Another way to add "The Gospel of John in Cultural and Rhetorical Perspective" to the Bible Background collection is modifying collection rule: e.g. add Socio-rhetorical to Subjects:

    Title:("Bible Atlas",Background,Context,Curiosities,Earlier,Graeco-Roman,Images,"in the Bible",Jewish,Judaism,Manners,Map,Milieu,Mishnah,Talmud,Travel) OR Subject:(Background,Jews,Judaism,Semites,Socio-rhetorical) OR Author:Jastrow

that increased collection size by 18 resources (more efficient than dragging 18 resources into "Plus these resources").

When looking for resource(s) to expand collection, one way is searching Library for topical keywords and subtract existing rule matches:

    Bible Background -Title:("Bible Atlas",Background,Context,Curiosities,Earlier,Graeco-Roman,Images,"in the Bible",Jewish,Judaism,Manners,Map,Milieu,Mishnah,Talmud,Travel)  -Subject:(Background,Jews,Judaism,Semites,Socio-rhetorical) -Author:Jastrow

Screen shot shows a resource that potentially should be added to Bible Background collection.
