On logos' Facebook it says you can get a special deal today only if you call in

I called in.  It wasn't anything new from the mystery deals they offered before today.

I figured that one out. It's called "Marketing shenanigans" 😂 shena-na-na-na...na-na-na-na-na-na-nigans...😬 And people still fall for them 😏

Someone email me telling me about the great mystery products and to give them a call - hello I emailed because I don't want to call

Same here - whilst I think phone-based sales are biased against us overseas people, I can understand the reasons that have been put forth for why FL would have them. BUT to offer an email alternative and then find the email basically says to phone to get details is bad form in my opinion Sad

As I also don't live in the US, I emailed on 17 November and like you received a  reply from a consultant asking me to call to get the discounts. I replied (by email) pointing out that I live overseas and asking whether an email should suffice. I am currently awaiting reply to my request.

Despite some of the discussion in this thread, the webpage for the Black Friday sale clearly indicates that both calling and email are the means of accessing the discounts. The wording is very clear:

    "Phone & Email Specials

Call our sales team at (888) 875-9491 or email us at experts@logos.com to get these exclusive deals!"

If the sales team has unilaterally decided to not respond to requests by emails or Faithlife has officially decided to depart from what it has advertised, then either would be very disappointing.

If a Faithlife representative is reading this thread - we'd love to hear from you.   Keep well  Paul

I responded along similar lines pointing out that the website clearly indicated that you could email in for the prices and that phoning was not convenient as I live overseas. To be fair I then did get a response with the prices. Hope you do too.

Thanks Paul - I'm certainly happy to wait for a reply from the consultant. My point in writing was to encourage a Faithlife response to the thread which so far shows a fair number of concerned people. Keep well  Paul

Nothing of use (or discounted enough) for me.  The secret mystery sale stuff is kinda silly.  I do not have time to call Logos personally or have them call me.

I love the Reformed Commentary Bundle. Unfortunately (/fortunately) I already own most of it. Still a great deal.

Not a big fan of the "Mystery Deal". I would very much prefer to order online and will likely never find out what my mystery deal is because I'm not going to be taking the time and inconvenience to call in.

The same mystery deals are offered to everyone. There aren't any personal mystery deals.

You might find that you already own the mystery deal products, because they are included in certain base packages.

Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

I wish there was a Logos email/forums for those of us who have build up are libraries since the beginning of time and do not need the bombardment of advertising. This crap gets weary. I keep getting requests to buy a Logos 7 package. The next three levels have so few books that I want why through money into their lap.

This has been addressed with our sale team, and they were informed to provide all information necessary via email so that people do not have to call in. Sorry about the misunderstanding.

We have heard your feedback and have now made the deals available on the website. You can call or email in to save an extra 10% on three of the products on the page. The three products that qualify are marked with an * at the start of the title. Hope this helps!

I am glad, for I sent an email after I read the preceding post and a few hours later received a reply that gave the names of the resources but directed me to call.

As it happens, I'm not interested in these particular resources anyway, but maybe your upcoming specials will get me buying...

Kaleb, I think this was a wise idea. I've checked out two of them and am considering one as a result. Count me in with those who dislike the call/email to get a deal approach.

Having griped earlier about not seeing anything too exciting earlier in the week (and the call-in issue), I wanted to say something on a less grumpy note:

I'm really thrilled to have snapped up Vos' Reformed Dogmatics today, and quite tempted by a couple of the other offers that have been added (though I I've just moved and need to be sensible).

For whatever it is worth to you, I think the decision to focus Black Friday so heavily on high-priced collections and bundles and courses was a mistake. You could have made hundreds of sales on individual books or members of sets. If I am any indication, I was anticipating making quite a few purchases, but I will probably not end up making any.

Hey Daniel, this is great feedback. We usually do collections because it is the best bang for your buck, but we hear you and will try to implement this into future sales. Thanks again for posting.

Some of the bundles you put together were practically full-price, before you applied the Black Friday discount. Most people probably wouldn't normally buy a regular-price collection unless there was some savings to buying all those books together in the first place.

Perhaps if the bundle was discounted in the first place, you wouldn't have given as steep a Black Friday discount, but no one would be able to saythat the bundle was a terrible deal to begin with.

Which assumes that we have bucks for the best bangs--a dubious assumption right after a new version release. As I posted elsewhere:

[quote]After updating to 7 (and 6 before that), I got most of the bulk I wanted from base packages. Now I'm interested in picking off a title here and there to fill a particular niche, but the major sales don't seem to cater to that need very much.
