Logging in on I-phone
Okay, I broke down and am moving to a smart phone - an iPhone. But I can't seem to log in. Are the problems if you password includes special characters? Or is there something really stupid that I am missing? I keep being told my email/password is wrong when they aren't in any obvious way.

What sort of "special characters" do you mean?

It should "just work" - do you have a valid Internet connection when you are trying to log in for the first time?

yes and I verified the login on the desktop and check for case sensitivity

I would have thought that would be fine - unless it is being substituted for a "#" due to some language settings.
Sorry I can't think of anything else. Hopefully someone from Faithlife will be able to comment.

I've run into this problem a few times with different apps, and I had to resort to emailing the password to myself, accessing the email on the device, and doing a copy+paste. (In certain instances, I only realized later I was probably using an 'ell" for a capital "eye" etc

The pound sign works fine as a password character. I'm not sure what to say other than contact customer support to change your password.

Just to verify, you are using the Sign In button and not the Register button - correct?

Hi MJ
If you are new to an iPhone you might not know that you can view the password that you have stored for an app by going to 'Settings' and then 'General' scroll down to 'Safari' and then 'Passwords'
At this point you can use your fingerprint to access all the passwords you have stored.
Apple is fussy - case sensitive - intolerant of spurious spaces etc. From this screen it is possible copy passwords to be pasted into the appropriate app. It is not possible to edit passwords here. On the other hand it does allow the full range of characters to be used in passwords. You just have to enter them correctly.
You will realise that having a six digit sign in and setting up Touch id on you phone are important security measures.
