I see that the NIV Faithlife Study Bible is now on prepub. I am curious what this means for the original.

Hi Dan, you may have missed this, but the product info says, "Adapted for print from the digital edition of the Faithlife Study Bible..." So it's a print version, not a digital. I hope they never get rid of the original digital edition as it integrates with any Bible version we choose.

The original Faithlife Study Bible is so heavily used by some Mobile Ed courses, I imagine that it would be impossible to get rid of it.
FL will probably add the NIV one to the increasing number of study bibles they sell, yet continue to provide the free one for anyone trying out the mobile app.
i was just about to come on here and ask about this: https://www.logos.com/product/129657/niv-faithlife-study-bible
I don't see where it says print but I'll take your word on it
I would have thought Format: Hardcover was another big clue [Y]

And I would have thought "Trim Size: 6.25x9.25" would have been another huge clue 😂
I think I saw it on Amazon or Christianbooks website....available to purchase now, but won't ship until February or March, I don't remember which one.
This one I will have to get from the local bookstore - my wife gets an employee discount😂.
Ah yes I did miss those obvious signs didn't I.
I should refrain from posting at night
I'm curious: Who's interested in getting this in print when the electronic version is free in Logos? Since I've gotten rid of a bunch of my print study Bibles and moved to Logos editions, I'm curious if I'd benefit from this in print or keep my Logos edition.
For those who rely more on print study Bibles though, it is a good move on Faithlife's part.
Logos blogged about the new FSB print edition earlier today.
After using the digital edition, I don't know why I'd want to use a print edition again.
Some people want a print edition....and this may very possibly lead to people joining the FL community. ie. purchasing Logos software. I think the print edition will be a poor step sister to the more robust and flexible original. That said I think it will make for a good paper study Bible.

I agree. I'm not sure if I'll personally need one, but I think it will make a great print study Bible, plus help people know more about Faithlife/Logos.
It would be good for FL to mention somewhere in the packaging of the study Bible that one can download a free e-Copy of FSB using the FSB and Logos apps, as well as mention the Faithlife community people can join (as a way to hook people into the Faithlife/Logos ecosystem). Other Bible publishers have done this in the past by giving out CD copies of their Bibles with the purchase of the hard copy, and it definitely had my buying more software. :-) Since CD's are waning, the method above would be more effective.
"If" Zondervan would include a free unlock code for the Logos edition of the NIV for those who purchase the NIV FSB, that'd be the icing on the cake.
BTW, there will be leather editions of this, so anyone who wants a leather edition instead of hardback, you might want to wait until the leather editions are released before jumping on this pre-pub.
I much prefer hardback to leather, unless i am trying to impress those around me or making a gift. The hardback is sturdier and easier to carry in my book bag.
Not interested in purchasing another print study bible personally but there are a lot of people who are not interested in electronic so this offering is directed more at those who still want a print study bible. With FSB supposed to be a living document a print version really is even less appealing to me.
I haven't given up on print study Bibles, and I use print Bibles more now lately for straight reading. Reading the text still dominates my world.
